I love Ahrefs and SEMRush

They show random numbers for keyword difficulty and traffic.
I want to pay them more LOL
What I found:
1. Easy-peasy: instead of 0 searches, I'm getting 10+ impressions daily (page 1).
2. 30 searches a month according to sem-nothing? Google beg to differ... over 100 impressions a day (page 1).

In the past, I only think of ahref when it comes to find backlinks and semrush for keywords, but now I only use semrush because it's cheap as hell

None!
The day since GKP stopped showing exact search volumes no tool is able to show an accurate data.
Each tool has their own way (algorithm) to show the search volume.
I personally have found Keywordseverywhere to be useful in keyword research although they are not always accurate.

Regarding KD ahrefs used to be the quite good in the past, I can't comment about current situation as I haven't used it's paid version for a long time now.
I just take the average value from Keywordseverywhere, SEOQuake, Ubersuggest chrome extensions, then compare them with SERP url's and decide myself if that keyword can be my primary target or not.
Once I have a list of 10-20 primary keywords I manually use the ahrefs free KD tool to check what ahrefs says about it.

I think we've had this experience. Even the reverse, 5k search volume but barely 1k impression on GSC.

too many tools just to check a simple (and not even meaningful many times) metric like SV.

And yeah, I know that all these tools rely on google's data and if google stops making this data available they're all screwed. But I just hoped that somehow, somewhere, someone broke google and can share its data with us

I think there is no tool showing accurate data, but Ahrefs showing data closely, In my opinion, Ahrefs is better than others.

Semrush give better volume estimate and actual volume is usually more.
Most of the time both give similar difficulty.
So I see no problem with 180 volume keyword having lots of volume

Real question is how much off the mark they are for 0 volume keywords.

First of all, I have to add... I posted this article (I showed example of) long ago and never bothered because there was barely any SV for that keyword according to the tools but all of a sudden, last year it jumped to page 1 and I saw the SV through GSC.

What I, personally, use:

• Don't take me wrong, I do use semrush and moz for free now and then and I analyse easy keywords with 30+ traffic
• I used to use GKP but haven't used it for some time as I still have to publish existing articles
• At times, I throw the shit against the wall and see what sticks (using GSC)

I'm running a test now with reddit where I collected "easy" keywords and post on my subreddit AI generated articles... if they rank on page 1-3 then I'll manually target those keywords on my site.

You gave me a good idea... I can post on sites like medium and see if my AI posts get traffic from google (any similar platform will work as long as they show traffic by source).
