I don't have any EMD projects at the moment.

You might want to confirm if the sites are ranking for a different reason than purely being EMDs.

Emd mate old they were below suddenly on the top again, some are old domains too

I hope it's true, as I have some EMDs from 5 years ago. I kept renewing the domains, time to put some content on these and check the results.

Yes,
I created a PBN site for one of my clients for a very high search volume keyword on an EMD. The EMD PBN site is now ranking on top, above all authority sites and even the client's own site, which was previously in the top position but has now dropped to a lower position.

I have been watching successful sites with EMDs for a long time. EMDs never went out elsewhere. They have been working.

Emd works but it's not enough like it was 5 years ago. It's best to have both Emd and branded.

I have 2 EMD domains and none of them are on the first page but they are on 2nd and 3rd page. I have not added any content since last 2 years. Looks like I need to add some fresh content.

Just to show that Google is just playing around to find a way to evolve,
But yet they're just stuck to make that happen by any ways, every BH practice will remain for years and they just can't handle it as they'll end up messing up things by trying to do so

I agree, EMDs lost popularity but they never went away nor stopped working.
They lost weight a little at first.
