So I've got a budget of about $1700 and I really like the iPad (it's been my dream device) but it's got so many limitations for example Adobe premiere Pro isn't available and so many more.

If you got other suggestions I'd appreciate your opinion

I would chose the MacBook if I was in your position. They both have their pros and cons but considering that the Mac is much more flexible it is a go to from my viewpoint.

I would personally say a Macbook would have be more ideal for any more computing work.
I really dont understand people who use a tablet as a replacement of a PC for full fledged work.
Maybe i'm missing out something on tablets but I get hella frustated on my own tablet when I try to do anything like excel/powerbi or database related.

I'd say Macbook. I prefer a real PC to an iPad.

macbook, ipad are for kids lol

Yeah! Will prefer a MacBook

I would recommend you Macbook instead of Ipad Pro.

Have you ever tried a tablet ?
Because I had a dream of an IPad too and it disappeared when I bought it.
Macbook all the way.

MacBook and iPad should not be compared.

i think pc is always more useful than a tablet

MacBook for software compatibility

Depends on the usage but I'd go with the Macbook for more functionality.

You can work more and faster on Macbook... iPad is good only for when you are away from your desk and need to perform small tasks.

HP/ Lenovo :D

Sorry for the shill
Thank you all for your input
I'd choose MacBook Air for more functionalities

If you are used to Mac, buy a Macbook, if you are used to Windows, buy a PC.
Getting used to a new OS is not that easy, and it's pointless because essentially there's nothing one can do that the other can't.
I switched to Mac from Windows a year and a half ago and it's still not native to me. Each system has it's downfalls, but as least I know the way around those of Windows.

What windows PC would you recommend for that price.

I'm not that into hardware, so can't really help you. But make sure that the one you buy is optimized towards what you plan to do with it.
