It is not necessarily bad SEO for two pieces of content to target the same keyword.
What you should pay attention to is the intent behind each article.
For example, if the keyword has a commercial intent and you're coming up with two reviews that basically target the same keyword, then you are committing "keyword cannibalization."
You are shooting yourself in the foot when it comes to rankings.
You are your own worst enemy in this context.
On the other hand, if a keyword has different intents and each article focuses on these specific different intents, then you should be fine.
One way to clearly signal this situation to Google is to use a category system for your blog so that Google knows which content goes with which category despite the fact that these two pieces of content, at first glance, target the same keyword.
