My shorts videos stopped getting views. For the last few months about 80% of my shorts videos would get at least 500-1000 views, usually within 24 hours of publishing it. Some of them got 20k-200k views. For the last week or so my shorts videos are getting 0-10 views. I've made no changes, it just seems like YouTube stopped pushing my videos.. Has anyone have any idea why is that and if there is anything I can do to fix it?

Is your content original? I've seen plenty of talk of shadow Bans being applied. Most likely you are being penalized for something that's been flagged. Go back through your content and check if youve violated any policies of if the policies have changed. Another option could be to start a new account and see what kind of traction you pick up.

It is, all the videos are made by me. I've been hit with a ban about a month ago, the email that I received stated.. "Spam, scams or commercially deceptive content are not allowed on YouTube." I got my appeal reviewed and the channel reinstated by a real person within 24h. Everything went back to normal I was getting a bunch of traffic again. I assume my channel was falsely flagged because of the amount of the content that I upload - 100+ videos a month. None of them violate any of the policies and that is confirmed by whoever went through my appeal and reinstated my channel. I really doubt this has anything to do with what's happening right now..

I get no traffic from shorts feed, which used to be 500-1000 views per video within the first 24h. Now pretty much all the traffic comes from browse features, which is not a lot.. 90%+ of the traffic used to come from shorts feed. My videos are still being shown on the home screen for the people that are subscribed to my channel. For some unknown reason YouTube stopped pushing my videos in shorts feed.. maybe you only get that initial push on new channels and then it kinda stops.. I don't know what is the issue. Any input is welcome.

Probably because your channel was flagged previously and reviewed manually. It may take time to get traffic to flow again. Of course that is just my guess. There are quite a few videos on YouTube itself about this topic.

Probably been manually reviewed/shadow banned

The channel was flagged a month ago. It went back to normal immediately after it was reinstated. The traffic stopped 5 days ago. I don't think it's related.

March 16th - 7K views
March 20th - 1K views

The very last video that got a decent amount of traffic from shorts feed was on the 17th of March. 1.7k total views, 95% of traffic came from shorts feed. I'm still getting about 1k views a day from all my videos combined, but that's 1/10th or 1/20th of what it used to be.

there is bunch of reasons why your videos don't get views, here is some of them :
*your ip is flagged by Google so any videos you upload on YouTube are linked to your previous ones already banned or spammed
*you have repetitive videos, cloned videos don't rank like fresh new ones
*there are new competitors on your niche

you can try using new ip + an antidetect browser + fresh new videos

I think I figured out what is the issue.. It's the aspect ratio. There must have been some sort of update on their end that came out recently. 1:1 and 16:9 were the aspect ratios for shorts. All my 1:1 videos that I uploaded over the last few months were classified as shorts. Apparently starting the 18th of March that is not working anymore. I've uploaded a 16:9 video about 5 hours ago and it already has more views that any of my other videos that I uploaded in the last 5 days.

You can be shadowbanned, but it could it be temporary. Keep uploading videos

Yeah.. it just keep getting worse and worse, 0-10 views. I've tried uploading with a different account, 1st video got 50 views and the second got 0.. something is definitely off here..

Okay, so it went from bad to worse..

December to mid March I was getting at least 1k views for every shorts video that I upload.

Starting mid March maybe 1 out of 5 shorts videos would get 1k+ views and other would get 0-200.

Now a few days ago when YouTube crashed and no one was able to log into their accounts.. few ours later after everything went "back to normal" everything changed for the worse. Literally every single shorts video that I upload gets 0 views. I've subscribed to my channel with my other account and I can see that my videos don't even show up in the subscription feed anymore..

I have no idea what to do. Any input is appreciated.

Maybe lay low for some time? I personally am not a fan of shorts and always stick to normal videos. I can say from my experience with other social medias that shadowbans last from 1 month to 3 months. My best advice for anyone is always have 2-3 accounts. Maybe take the time and build a second channel while your main channel is shadowbanned? Is my best advice I can give you and in the future you won't even care because you can post on another account and grow while the other is banned.

Edit: also check for bad words in your shorts or bad words in title, description tumbnail etc. They may ban your videos

So a little update.. shorts are DEAD. Every short I uplod gets like 2 views, no matter how good or bad the video is. It doesn't matter if I publish 1 video every other day or 5 videos a day. I assume people who mass upload shorts that they ripped off from tiktok are here to blame. There are too many trash quality shorts, that takes no time or effort to produce and they are being mass spammed everyday that it makes nearly impossible to compete to be shown in the shorts feed.

I have same problem as you, i was getting 7 mil views per day and now i have only 50k views per day! can anyone help!

Yeah.. this is an old thread. It stopped working in March. It started working again about 2 weeks ago, worked for a week and now it's dead again. I've tried with more than one acc too.

There might be some update. They have also discontinued shorts fund.
