Anyone tried Tradetang.com?

It seems like a GREAT concept. tradetang acts as escrow between you and the seller. So the seller doesnt get their money unless they send you your stuff and you login to click the link to verify you've received it and alls well.

Shipping is via EMS, DHL, Fedex or UPS only - and paypal is the method of payment. Most of the sellers there offer dropshipping as well.

I've done a demo order last week that is in transit via ems at the moment. Looks like it will work out well. -crossed fingers-

I only did some tiffany items. I don't know about the rest of the categories. Any one else used it for bigger items? Say, gaming stuff? Electronics?

cheers.

I'm going to answer my own thread as I just got my shipment.
Great quality - shipping was EMS so you know how slow that is - took about 5 days - but its here.
So so far- I'm going to recommend tradetang.com

well 。EMS take you just 5 days. we send sample take our 2 month.2 month.you are very luckly.

beware of tiffany items, I sold them for years and you have to make sure what you are selling is exactly what is available in tiffany stores or has actually been made by tiffany, sounds stupid but very easy to make a mistake with this as i found out. Tiffany has lots of people searching ebay for fakes and reports them so it pays to do research.

also if you read this
hXXp://www.techtree.com/India/News/eBay_Sued_by_Fa*shion_Label_over_Fakes/551-90770-643.html

I bet soon its gunna be alot harder to get away with listing fakes

Well I didnt claim they were tiffany - I didnt post in that category.
Pretty much listed them as costume jewelery.

What did I miss?

They were selling $400 PS3s for close to $600 ...

Ok, I've made a test order on tradetang and I can say, that it was a good experience...

I've ordered a Ipod nano (8GB), I knew, it must be a replica, but who cares, I only needed a new mp3-player!

I paid via paypal and got the player after 6 days. Good quality and works very fine! I think it's a good site to order some goods there! :D

and how is the quality of your new copy I-pod? does it look like a normal I-Pod? did you pay any taxes in germany?:confused:

and did you buy other things from trade-tang? I want to buy something too, but should I trust them? I have to pay in advance:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

You have to pay in advance just like any other place..HOWEVER tradetang holds your funds in escrow. So your money is protected. The seller has to ship to you the item AND you have to sign for it, and verify it and approve the release of the funds and that you are happy with the transaction before the seller gets paid. Therefore you are much more protected.

Yeah, I think the quality is good for the price. And yes, it looks like the real one. It works also with iTunes and all other iPod related stuff...

I think you CAN trust it. Like it was said, you'll pay via PayPal and TradeTang makes the order via Escrow. That means, you pay directly to TradeTang, not to the seller. After your payment is made, the seller ships his product to you. When you get it, you can check the quality and the quantity, afterwards you log in into your account and make the confirmation of the achivement. Then, TradeTang is paying the money to the seller. So there is no risk at all I think...

I wrote to one seller who sells the 8gb ipod nano, and he said it is a ipod cops and doesnt have i-tunes ?
So, are you allowed to sell these replicas on ebay ? ..or in fact are allowed to sell replicas/knockoffs at all....legally ?

you cannot sell replicas on ebay, you cannot turn around and say in your auction "this is a replica of an ipod" Egay will suspend your account. the only way to sell replica items on ebay is to pass them off as real. and if you get to many complaints that they are fake from the buyers, your account will get banned. if you want to sell replicas on egay, choose what you sell carefully. and make sure your items do and look like the real thing.

also a side note, I bought some stuff from tangtrade and I got what i thought was a great deal. looks exactly what i wanted, i think ya should look for sellers with that high Trust Point shit, i only made 1 purchase but it worked for me

Navymangermany, would you mind sharing who sells that specific Ipod ? I've contact a couple sellers, and both say it doesnt have i-tunes and dont support i-pod accessories.

Joker, and if i put on my auction that the ipod i bought from tradetang is refurbished? The risk of selling ipod replicas at Ebay will be minimized? I have a feeling that many of the ipods selling on ebay are new and from China and many sellers say that they are refurbished.

Thanks.

I think if you tell them it is refurbished they would be ok with it. there is alot of refurbished electronics on ebay. it is prob not best to tell them it was from tangtrade though.

First point is: NO, you CAN'T sell these items on ebay... You are going to make the worst deal in your life. Those products are only good for using them yourself... I think, its a very bad idea if you would trying out such things on ebay or also on any other places. It is not only that you are selling a replica to someone. If you are selling it to the wrong person and the machinery takes it also to the producer (Apple...) or so, you've got the whole sh*t at ya a*s... And the prices are very high for selling pirated products. But I think when you buy things for your own using it is ok. Not for Apple but for you and me...

Secondly, I must search for the seller, cause I've crashed my mail db. And maybe they are right, that there is no iTunes with the iPod, but you can dl the soft directly from Apple... And it works for me! And my loudspeakerstation works also fine with this iPod... I will post the seller to you.

personally i think it depends on the product, if it works and looks the same as the real thing than why not? I sold Chanel glasses for a year, made 11k, they looked exactly the same, they protected the eyes. they did everything just as the real ones. the people are paying for the label. and if you are careful with making, signing up to your ebay account and posting the goods than you haven't got anything to be worried about. But also im not saying there is no element of risk here. you just have to pick the right items to sell. and the reason i stopped selling these is because of customs stopping my items getting in to the country half the time, not because of egay.
