$150,000 by Dec 2020. Crushing it on Upwork

Thanks, man. I followed "fake it till you make it", overpromised, over-delivered, and learned on the job. With every gig I worked on, I learned things that could be applied in the next one and so on. Over the months the experience and learning start to compound, and so do the earnings.

A bulk of my money came from email marketing, lead generation and closing deals for commission [this made me the most money]
How did you generate the leads? Fb?

Nice to see you still updating this threat. It was a big inspiration when I read it during the first lockdown. Can you give us a little update of your business life since then?

No. Never used FB. It was always linkedin, or buying existing lists, or recycling older lists [super greyhat haha]. The industry I was catering to does not hang out at FB/IG, super oldschool peeps in B2B.

Thanks for checking. I made a few thousand dollars more in this - all through job invites and minimum bidding. I'm bored of Upwork these days and involved in client work outside Upwork :D
How do clients trade with you without an Escrow outside Upwork?

Nice to hear that my journey is an inspiration :)

Since late 2020, I've been more involved in crypto. I started a crypto marketing agency with someone I met on BHW. To date, we've helped token and NFT clients raise $35M+ in IDOs & mints. A big chunk of this is NFT projects. Since this was an emerging market in early 2021, we were in the right place at the right time to take advantage.

Life's been good. Now I'm trying to balance my ambition for wealth with quality time with family/friends. Compared to when I started this journey, I have more free time now. I'm pursuing my childhood dream of music production. Just dropped my first hip-hop track 3 days ago haha.

Thank for the motivation this thread give to us. I'm trying to balance my life too. I hope you are doing well. Good luck on your music production journey.

Crypto is too broad a niche. It depends on what your interests/inclinations are - trading, marketing, consulting, starting your own projects?

Hey man, feel free to dm me your hip-hop track, would love to hear it!

This is incredible and inspiring.
One, sorry two questions.
Is this level of success still possible?
What's your most important advice for an upwork beginner?
Thanks
