Don't take it personally. There are pros and cons to knowing where your seller is based. Mostly pros though, for both buyer, and seller as well actually:
- As a buyer you'll have more confidence in whether an offer is priced reasonably especially if it a highly competitive market like SEO packages.
- If you are a seller in such markets but live in say, NYC are pricing them at five times the price of the average, I will understand why knowing where they are, so that they have to make five times as much money than someone in, say hungary, just to pay the bills. That being said, I highly doubt people will opt for them despite this, and will likely just go for the lowest prices anyway, regardless of the sellers location.
- But people might have other reasons too, from more administrative concerns such as accountability, potential employability to avoiding people of certain geolocations due to previous bad experience, i'm not one of them but there are lots of people that don't hold certain parts of the world in high regard for IM
I mean there are probably a whole bunch of other reasons besides the above, but generally I think it does more good than harm all round.
And if you are worried about an on-site price war or something, well it's part and parcel of commerce and marketing in a capital society, why shy away from it?
