They will make AI content useless but it will take time. Currently people are using AI content on large scale.

While google is making such high-profile claims, I'm creating sites on translated content and getting thousands of clicks. My comrades are also having success with automatically created content. Lol, they just can't fight progress and try to regulate things somehow (but it doesn't really work at all)
It's John Mu, so take 99% of what he says with a pinch of salt, it's the 1% that he doesn't say that people should take notice of.

AI content should be used as an assistant, not as a click and go replacement (for money sites, at least). It can output great content, but without hand curation, editing, polishing, and optimizing, it's just more fluff in an already giant (and rapidly growing) ocean of text. When used properly, it ranks great and will likely continue to do so for the foreseeable future. When/if they figure out how to detect AI, the algorithms will change and the game of cat and mouse will continue as always.

lmao gpt-3 itself without some tweaks sounds awful unless you put those ai-generated content on Grammarly and spin some established articles related to what you are writing just make it sound like a human bro.

Detecting AI content isn't as hard as many of you think - there is a lot of research being done in the detection of neural network generated content and generally for a long piece there are high confidence levels (>99%) for positives.
