When are you gonna need this $1K? If you don't need it soon BTC and ETH are the way to go.

ADA (Cardano) has the ability to scale regarding Smart Contracts + TPS (Transactions Per Seconds) - I do see them in 3.5$ until the end of this year
DOT - Parachain already functioned Smart Contract Crypto with the ability to scale to a Web3 Crypto - I do see them in 50-100$ until the end of this year.

As you can see I am optimistic.
