It has been announced Tuesday that DuckDuckGo, the privacy-focused search engine, is working on a desktop browser. DuckDuckGo averages more than 100 million searches per day and is the top browsing app on Android in a number of markets.

I'm still don't get what is the point to use it if we all here praise Master Google.

I tried using it for a bit, as I do with most search engines, but didn't really like it - the results still just aren't as good as the big G

I can easily rank on Duckduckgo solely based on content. Google is obsessed with authority and suppresses all low-authority sites beyond SERPs.

I use it as my default search engine, most of my searches are related to programming, and most of them are solved with a DDG search, if that doesn't work, I can just add !g to my search and that will open Google.
Also lately, I noticed that for some queries I get much better results compared to google that is showing me some big websites that have nothing to do with what I searched for. But for non English ones it still sucks(at least when searching in Romanian).

They're actually using Bing Search API as far as I know, so basically bing is better than google at ranking content.

The se itself is not the worst (in my experience better than bing, but nowhere near what google provides me as a daily user), but I don’t like the branding. Duck duck go, i mean wtf lol.

Tried it out. Would love nothing more than a solid Google alternative
but it just doesn't cut it.

I indexed the website on search engine bing, but I also got results on Duck2Go

DDG is not that accurate. You can't rely on them always so you will end up using google and ddg side by side.

I dont use Duckduckgo but once I landed on duckduckgo search result by clicking on ad and DDG search result was full of ads followed by normal results.

So I think they advertise DDG to get users to click their ads.

Bing fills 90% of the search results with pages of the same website. They rank tens of pages from a high authority website instead of ranking tens of individual sites. This is a big let down for webmasters and one of the top reasons why many people don't openly support it.

Been using it as default for a while now. For me it works better than google for some searches. Plus I get stuck in indefinite captcha loops, whenever I'm using google over Tor or some VPNs.

It's alright. Google is a mess IMO, it's been that way for quite a while now.

The results are full of spam websites & millions of articles which were translated with Google translate & republished for the sake of earning from ads. Sucks. Bad.

My stuff is ranking better on DDG than on G, probably because they appreciate good content.

DuckDuckGo is a great Google, Bing, and Yahoo alternative for anyone who wants to use the internet anonymously.

While DuckDuckGo’s search engine isn’t as robust as Google’s, it works fine for most day-to-day queries.

For me, the best DuckDuckGo features are its ad-blocking browser extension, untracked browsing, Burn Bar, Tor exit enclave, and privacy grades.
