Spotify not paying royalties

I wonder how long it will be until someone sues Spotify for withholding payment. Spotify would most likely be forced to settle out of court due to the fact that they would have to share how they detect fraudulent streams. They don't want that information out there.
It would be fun if somebody did it, but I think it will never happen. The ones getting withhold payments are probably guilty of fraudulent streams, then you don't want to show your real identity. Nor have the funds for a law suit. The only ones that could do it would be Strange Fruits.....

Im in the game for a bit over a year now and for me its getting harder to upload music as it more often gets rejected. Any suggestions on how to improve ? Like use different phone Numbers or upload to a certain time? Its most difficult on Distrokid for me.. but as they pay good and quick i want to keep trying.
Also any suggestions on how to make/get good songs?
Appreciate every suggestion thanks guys!

yo bro what music distribution serves should i use and should i focus on spotify or do you advise looking into apple music or amazon or google

How do you create your Spotify accounts? I used Revolut but now it's not working anymore..

Oh noch mehr deutsche hier haha. Bruder übersättig den markt nich
Das wird nie übersättigt sein. Seit zwei Jahren immer noch dran und es läuft noch. Das wird es solange, weil Spotify auch keine Stellung dazu nimmt.

It is a record label testing the boundaries, somebody else wouldn't be allowed to even upload these short rain sounds. In the article they explain it. Strange Fruits is also associated with some bigger record label, don't remember if it was universal or Warner or somebody else, and that allowed them to do more shady stuff...

Don't work with distributors like Distrokid or Spinnup and all the others. You have to find Distributors that take a percentage of you.

In the rolling stones article I linked. Before it was open to read, now you need to register it seems. They said they advertise a lot to get listeners to their playlists.

thank you! yes it was warner "The label gained a deal with the Alternative Distribution Alliance, Warner’s indie distribution wing, earlier this year"

He claims that Strange Fruits has thrown “over eight figures” at advertising his label in 2021 alone. This guys are printing money haha

This is incredible. Yes that is a good idea also to make marketing on your songs. Actually, it became heavier since this year to generate money with fake streaming, but those who are long in the game even are doing now a lot of money. But for the new ones under us I think it will not be rentable.

this month i paid out 9k USD, but with a distributor, where you have to send a request for the dashboard, and then give up 20% of the revenue.
Does this distributor let you upload songs that others reject? And is it because they take such a big cut?

Don't say which distributor it is, but it would be interesting what they allow that other distributors don't allow, like: Suspicious bot streams, Short song below 1 minute, low quality songs or SEO-names on artists and albums?

Hopefully not I just started with Spotify and already put in $300. Multiple artists, all songs with vocals, mixed free/premium streams spread out and > 1k/song. Surely this is the safest way?

My "phone farm" only paid me about $500 this month

Amazon Unlimited paid me for ONE DAY of plays (instead of the 6 months it took to accrue those plays)

The one day of payment was pretty good.. but what the hell? Do I have to switch IPs every single DAY?

I fucking hate these streaming services and will rip every penny I can out of their hands lol

Sounds like a shadow ban. Did the distributor pay you? Which distributor?

DistroKid

All of the songs are up and I'm still getting stats via the Spotify/Apple Music for Artists... but it seems like it's just registering ONE play per account, per day.

DistroKid also shows all of the plays on their end...

Is that a shadow ban on all of the accounts? If so, does that mean I have to find new CCs and make new ones lol
