Tips To Help Your YouTube Channel

Hello, i read all the thread, thanks for the advice. i have a question
Are views something to considerate for a small chanel ? like 1k-5k views per video ? i have channel with 15k subs, 150 videos, and some video who went to 150k / 250k / 800k, but 95% are 1k-6k ~~ and i'm wondering how many views i should start with.

Since the channel is not 100% news, don't you think sending 10/15k views per video +30% like or even 30/40k views could be good ?

To answer your question I need more information.
Can you post your channels lifetime analytics graph here?
Or alternatively private message me a link to your channel.
I need to study the data before advising the view and interaction volume.
It's not as simple as saying, lump on 10K views every video etc.

I should clarify something important.
Often on here people talk about the "algorithm" as if YouTube only has one algorithm. That isn't the case.
YouTube's algorithm is actually two agorithms; the home page algorithm and suggested videos algorithm.
The two algorithms are referred to as the recommendation system.
Most video traffic is generated by YouTube's recommendation system, not search results.
I read a lot of nonsense posts on here talking about; ranking, keywords, SEO, search results, etc.
Not a single one of these posts ever explained what I just have.
So one has people trying to sell a service to make your content; "go viral" or "move up the rankings"; yet they don't ever talk about the aforementioned.

Sure.

I started working on it on may 2020 (first spine 162k)
i'm making 1 or 2 videos per week since (so not working really on it ) i got these results :
my last video views : 254 views / 405 views / 4.6k views / 272 views / 471 views / 1.6k views / 3.5k views / 448 views / 336 views / 5.7k views / 559 views. etc

When i tried 1 video per day (for only 2 weeks) : it was 1.5k - 4k.
1 of my video is pretty big (800k+) and make me earn 3k to 5k views / day since 6months+.
Never used any kind of botting. Full organic.

I recommend you add 10K views (40-60 second retention) plus 3K likes from the same source, 8-24 hours after upload on every video.
At the same time post on your community page a thumbnail, and link to your video, then add 1K likes to it.
Before uploading change your video file name from 123456.mp4 to your video title name using your 3 keywords.
Use the same 3 keyword title in your; video file name, video title, video description, community post.
Make sure to front load the 3 keywords, at the start of the video title.
"Keyword Keyword Keyword Video Title" etc.

Thanks for the answer. I'm gonna try that.
But i guess you chose shorts keywords ? otherwise it lead to very strange title video, problem is good keywords are often long.
Btw, you were talking about making unboxing/review videos, are you still in this kind of stuff or did you changed for voice over + external content ? you give a lot of details for this kind of niche, so it make me think you use it on another project since

About suggested videos algorithm.
When i was making a shit ton of views, i worked on that, and especialy on : how to rank with the help of a competitor/big channel.
I realized the keywords were not that important if your goal is to make a video exploding.
Let's be clear, keywords ARE important if you make regular content, it will drive traffic for months, even years, so if you make 3-7 video per week, it's huge. But that's not the point.

For exemple at the time, i was making around 60k/90k in 24h on any video, despite thumbnail, title, keywords optimised or not. But after some tests, some videos exploded. it was 200k-300k per 12h, sometimes more.
Of course i thought about the title, thumbnail, subject, retention or interactions ( at the time it was more like/retention) but i analysed more than 50 videos of my channel, and for most of them it was not about that at all.
Same for competitors in my niche. Horrible keywords management, sometime 20% likes, sometimes 60%, but some videos were exploding for them too despite that.
So i asked in my commentary section how people was finding my video, and a lot of time, they were talking about another channel. Not 5 or 6 but 1 or 2.

So i tried to understand how it was working, sometime it was the title, sometime keywords, sometime not that at all. I worked a lot on it and many things changed since.
That's something i'v exploited at the time, and keep exploiting recently with only organics views, so i will not give too much details, but even today, on a small channel, results are pretty good.
I think with views + likes managed correctly by a panel instead of 100% real views, it can lead to very good results.

Problem is, i checked a lot of panels, and likes are way too expansive. it's 13-30$ per 1000, or around 5$ but only 10-40 likes per day. So it's either too expansive, or you can't send a lot of views if you want to keep a ratio of 20-40% likes.

Yep, but as someone who know youtube well, that's not related to his advices, they were good.

Everything he said make sense but it's something you can easily do yourself if you spend time to study channels in Youtube + the common knowledge available on the internet.

But this dude is just another Guru scammer like Wengthemeng based on some observation: 1. See how he carefully plant the idea of the importance of "a strategist". 2. The amount of time he spent building his mage of such "strategist". I don't even have time to read all his B.S

Subconsciously, people already fall into his Guru method scam. So the fact that he's banned is a very good for the community.

Everything is findable on internet, that doesn't mean you will find it, anyway, some informations he shared are not findable that easly at all, and i know youtube very well. The strategist part was not important at all, you didn't read what he was saying. He didn't say he was one, or can help people be in contact with them, it was just for explaining the success of some channels.
Anyway, that's doesn't excuse what he does for being banned ( i don't even know why exactly tho, i guess it's for selling stuff in mp) anyway, end of the story.

because it doesn't
It's a myth that it's around from years but it's debunked
Finally! Those are tips you will get from a guy you bought an ebook from to make you think: "wow that must be the secret, that's why I'm not succeeding" and start changing the files name before uploading the same content they got 20 subs from in the past 16 months expecting for it to explode this time. It's all in your Content, the YouTube algorithm is not hunting you down, it actually will help you a lot if you do everything right

I will share some tips to help your YouTube channel.
These are based on my own experience, through trial and error.
If I am doing something with my channel, it is because it works. I do not waste my time using methods that do not produce results.
  1. Name your video file with your video title before uploading it to YouTube. For example, your camera will call the file 123456.mp4 etc. Rename the video file name to your title; "How To Grow A YouTube Channel In 2021" etc. This will help the algorithm rank your content when uploading it. It cannot read what is inside the video file, so uses the file name (your video title) to identify what kind of content it is, and rank that content in the search results. The correct video file name, matching your video title; will make your content rank higher than a random .mp4 type video file name.
  2. Use 3 hashtag keywords in your video description. Do not load your description with multiple keywords. The algorithm will nullify 15+ keywords so none of them are used; it will be the same as if you didn't use any at all. 3 is the sweet spot for the algorithm to identify similar content, and suggest your content to viewers of similar content.
  3. 10+ minute videos work better for gains than shorts. Reason being longer content is more ad suitable. YouTube can place more ads in a 10+ minute video than a 60 second one. Therefore the algorithm weights longer content higher than shorter content. One 10 minute video will gain more results for your channel than 10 x 60 second shorts.
  4. Stick to a regular upload routine. Do not just upload on random days, at random times. Say you can only make one video per week, every week. Then always upload it Sundays only. Always publish it at exactly the same time 3.00pm etc. Sticking to a fixed day, and fixed time; will maximise your views from subscribers. The same content will gain less views if published on a random day, at a random time.
  5. Massive views, and massive interactions, will make your content rank higher; and therefore be suggested to more viewers; which will make it gain more views. When using panels, don't just buy views only. Buy likes as a well. 1000 views without likes won't work as well as 1000 views, plus 1000 likes. The algorithm weights views with interactions. The interaction can be; a video like, comment, comment like, or changing the video resolution from 1080 to 2160.
  6. Reply to every single comment on your videos. Do not just like, or heart the comments. Replied comments will encourage the viewer to come back again to your channel and view more content. Viewer retention is increased as a result, and content ranked higher, so suggested more, and more views gained.
  7. Comment positively on other channels with similar content. Do not spam their channel with links, this will get you blocked from commenting, and your comments will then be flagged by the algorithm on other channels as spam. Every comment needs to be unique, not copy and pasted; or it will be flagged as spam. Change the comment slightly each time; for example; "Excellent content, enjoyed it. keep up the good work on your channel". "Great video, enjoyed it, keep up the good work on your channel". The channel owner will think it is a genuine comment, so won't flag it as spam. The algorithm also sees it as unique, so won't flag the comment as spam. When viewers see your positive comment, and your username tells them your content is similar; they will click on the username in the comment and check out your channel viewing the content. The key to this is comment as soon as possible after they upload. This maximises the number of viewers that see your fanboy comment, and like it; which encourage more likes; so more clicks on your channel username, thus more views gained to your own content.
  8. Use large, clear, images in your thumbnails. Don't use too much text, too large text, and too many words. The video description identifies the content, not the thumbnail text. Facial reactions with an image work well. Loads of text does not work well. Try to make the image, face, text, a third of the thumbnail each. This is the sweet spot. Questions in the text of the thumbnail work better than statements. For example; "Best smartphone in 2021?" works better than "New 2021 smartphone from brand X" etc. The point is the text should always be a question for the viewer; this makes them click on your content to get that question answered.
  9. Invest in lighting, camera, and microphone. Poor lighting, poor images, poor sound; will kill your views fast. Get these 3 things high quality from day one and your; views, likes, comments, subscribers, will all grow faster. A camera tripod, LED light, lapel mic; are inexpensive from Amazon. Do not start making content until you have invested in these fundamentals.
  10. The typical viewer retention is under 2 minutes; regardless of content type. Do not kill off the first 30 seconds of views using an intro. Get stuck straight into the content from zero seconds, not after a 10-30 second intro etc. Viewer retention is the key to maximising views. An intro with music will kill that retention off.
  11. Target large channels that are making the same kind of content. Comment on every single one of their videos with a positive, unique (not copy and pasted) comment. Do not waste your time commenting on smaller channels. Always focus on the larger channels as they have your target viewers commenting on their content. By commenting on every video, it gets your own channel name exposed to the perfect target viewer. 10 comments is another 10 viewers, 100 comments is another 100 viewers, 1000 comments.... and so on.
  12. Create playlists for your content. Also use the "Community" page on your channel with links and thumbnail images of your upcoming videos. The interactions on your "Community" page are heavily weighted by the algorithm. Every comment, every reply, every like, is all weighted which helps your content move up the rankings, and be suggested to more viewers.
Sorry but YouTube read everything that was said in a video, if that is not correct, then how does Socialblade and VidiQ pop up keywords suggestion after uploading a video?

Have you think of how your video rank with some keywords you did not use in your video and tags or title?

To confirm what am saying, upload a shorts video and you would get more idea.
Also, it doesn't matter if you rename your video file, it will still rank if the video is Unique.

He definitely posted some useful tips. Nothing earth-shattering, but useful, nevertheless.

There is nothing wrong with offering your expertise for sale. But the right way is to get to 100 posts, get Jr VIP, and open a sales thread.

He was at 91 posts. So close. Only to get banned for "Selling via PM".

Well, the fox didn't run long. That's a shame.

despite that the writing format give me headache, this guy advice is pretty make sense, except the 'strategist' part. I've found some channel that has 'the pattern' that he claim is because of strategist. turns out it's only because youtube recommend one of the channel's video and it's going viral (the guy itself isn't techy enough so I doubt he has some 'strategist')

I don't really grasp the idea of 'youtube mafia' like Russian and Vietnamnese.
I do believe the idea of having bunch of youtube account farm to boost their own video. It's simply business and number (I even think to build one later)

It's sad that he's gone anyway..
