Increasing DA using backlinks - is it worth ? or risky

Hii friends,

I know DA or DR doesn't have any direct realation ship with google ranking. But it is a known fact that most of the websites with higher DA tend to rank better / get traffic.

It is a known fact that you can quickly increase your DA using back links ( redirects ). My question is by doing it has anyone seeing increase in traffic ? have anyone being penalized by google ? is it worth doing ?

What are your personal experiences.

You do not need increase DA - you need good backlinks for better rankings.
You do not need increase your site's toxic and spam score to rocket high with such spam "backlinks".

I did these google redirects "backlinks" on one of my sites.

After couple of months lost all rankings and traffic.

Test it by yourself and post results.

DA/DR are useless given so many PBN sellers here use GSA to inflate their network with junk links.

I recently purchased a high quality link (just one) for $120 on a manually-approved PBN network and it moved my site from 25th to top 5.

On my clients with fat budgets, I tend to push more guest posts to keep domain authority strong so new URLs rank.

Really depends on your goals, but don't send shitty redirects unless you're doing parasite stuff.

@phoenix9 - Thanks, Generally high DA sites rank well in google, though their is no official link between them. High DA means getting link juice from high DA sites higher than you, so was wondering this will help me to increase the traffic, if i get traffic from sites with low spam score.​

@macdonjo3 - Thank you , so generally what is your experience on sites which have done this, I am planning to get links from high DA sites with low spam scores ( less than 10) have they lost ranking ? or did it stay as it is.?

My rankings recovered very little. Yes i tried to disavow these links for 6 months.

You should make your all redirects links list.
And post it on some sites where you will get do-follow backlinks for these redirects.
The more - the better - search engines crawlers will find it faster.

Google uses EAT (Expertise, Authority, Trust) to rank sites, and the redirects give none of it. So, you won't see any difference.

I've tried it on a test project. My spam score became 32%, but my rankings didn't change. I've abandoned the project and no one bought the domain. So, you can do it to protect your expiring domains if you don't have money to renew.

DA is needed. but it does not need high DA, the main thing is you need to do with quality backlinks this will increase your site traffic always and the main thing is your site is based upon which keyword...

DA will not support directly to increase your ranking but by using good backlinks you can increase it. Please be aware of backlinks because you could find many spams that may affect your site.

Quality content and quality/relevant backlinks is all you need. Dont worry about DA DR.

Google prioritizes authority sites, and DA is a metric crafted by Moz to determine the authority of a website. You need to link to high authority and genuine sites to increase your DA. Focus on the quality of backlinks. I am working on increasing the DA of my website through Guest Posting, Link Outreach, and Community posting.

There are numerous other techniques you can implement, but it will take time. Gradually, you will see an increase in your DA as well as traffic.

I see many site ranked in first Google page due to they have good content that can rank for a keywork. And I check that their DA DR are very low around 10
