I know that’s kind of a tricky answer, but let me break it down for you.
On the surface level, fake traffic doesn’t help your ranking
Google only pays attention to the data it receives from its own search system.
It has a way of detecting fake traffic patterns.
It also pays close attention to user experience
Does this mean that you can’t use fake traffic at all?
Well, there is a small window of opportunity.
As I’ve mentioned above, Google factors in user experience.
How this plays out is when somebody finds your website in search results and they click on your site, Google’s paying attention.
Is that person going to stay on your website for a long time?
Are they going to click internal links?
Or are they just going to bounce back and do another search?
If a lot of your visitors bounce back very quickly, Google is going to use that fact against you.
This is where fake traffic comes in
You can dilute your bounce rate by routing fake traffic through many different IP addresses and VPNs all over the world.
When you do this and they end up terminating their search on your website, this gives Google the impression that people found what they were looking for your site.
After all, they didn’t bounce back.
This can help you increase your rankings, but not across the board.
You have to understand that this technique is very expensive.
While there are networks out there that offer this service, you’re going to have to pay through the nose.
You have to be very specific as to which keywords you’re going to use this approach on.

you have to use backconnect rotating proxies, and give the session some time,
use the most possible diversity like browser agent, session duration, etc...
As long as the clicks show up in the GSC, i think you're good to go (not quiet sure)
Yes they help very much, not just to rank but to also getting on the first page. Direct traffic does not work, and only some referral traffic from the major sites like Twitter, Reddit, Facebook, YouTube, and the other majors will work.
The best results are seen when you have a traffic software have inbound traffic coming from the search engines. Then GA will record that traffic is coming from organic search engines (even though it is a bot) and GA will record the keywords that the bot is search for in the search engines. All of this will help you not only rank, but get on the first page.

It might give you some temporary results but definitely not a long-lasting one. I recommend NO.
As @IamKing said, you can give a try for 10 days. But it won't affect your rankings.

lots of webmasters are inflating their alexa rank and ahrefs score with fake traffic and backlinks. it has benefits.

No fake traffic helps rank a website on Google or any other search engine.

In my personal opinion, fake traffic does not help to rank for any website. You will get just instant traffic that hits your link. But no outcome at all. I suggest please do proper SEO and trying to get real traffic.
