Medical Bills never need to be paid up front and can be made in extremely small payments based on your income. He can also just let them go to collections which will hurt his credit, but he won't lose his house or anything in the process. He'll just get annoying phone calls and won't be able to apply for credit cards...

Anyhow, nice of people to donate but the situation is actually very manageable. Most hospials also offer a plan to cover most (if no all of the costs) if you can prove there is no way for you to pay for your medical care...

Just something for everyone (and this guy) to think about...

I would like to wish Olden the best, and as someone who doesn't have any health insurance and is always popping vitamins to stay healthy and not doing stupid crap that might get me in the hospital, I understand completely what he is going through and have already made my donation. That being said, I think I am not the only one here who was a bit surprised at receiving this message. I can't tell you how many private messages I get here from the "senior members" trying to sell me some system/package that they claim is making them thousands of dollars a week, and how I would be a fool not to buy their package. Now, my mama didn't raise no fool, so I realize that most of these systems/packages are BS, and that the real money is being made by suckering people into buying this junk. However, the fact that we are being asked to donate money to help this guy out is kind of proof of that, because you always hear how the big boys here make loads of money and have their own little club so to speak, where only they can play and help each other out. If this was true, if they were truly making thousands of dollars a week, wouldn't they all band together and take care of their fellow brother, instead of asking all us "peons" to help him out?

I am more than glad to help a fellow person out, I know what it's like to be on the bottom..hell I'm there right now..but I'm not one to complain because most people don't give a sh*t anyways..we all have our own problems/issues to deal with. But as someone who has never really gained any true knowledge on this board on how to make serious cash (and I'm not talking about writing Associated Content articles for a few bucks a week), YET, often get PM's from the higher up's here telling me I need to buy their packages because it is making them tons of money and they want to share the wealth, this either proves all these packages don't really work, or there are a lot of people here making serious cash who won't help this guy out. Needless to say, this is the main reason I hardly ever visit this board anymore..just tired of the empty promises and constant begging for people to buy packages/programs.

That being said, if you can spare some cash, help this guy out please. Peace.

I truly hate to see anyone in this situation. Although I don't know the guy, this truly touched my heart, and I'm hoping he doesn't have to sell his house, and I'm hoping he gets well soon.

Someone earlier wrote that hospitals can't deny service based on the ability to pay, and I want to to echo that. Olden needs to focus on getting better now, so he can be strong and get back on his feet. The bills will be there later (no doubt), and he can deal with them then.

Although I am blessed to have medical insurance, I would like to send a warm, heartfelt "fuck you!" to the insurance companies. I have seen this type of behavior from them on numerous occasions, and it is this very reason why medical insurance should not be a for-profit venture.

all the bickering about how much people donated should really stop. give what you can, obviously some people will give more, and that will fill in the gaps of the lesser amounts and it will all even itself in the end.

the important issue is not even the money here, im more worried about whether this dude is gonna be able to walk out of the hopsital on his own. i dont even know him but i feel like i do just from reading his words on website.

not sure about what the total amount of damage he had done to him but it sounds pretty bad. i think his well being is more important than anything else

I know US has one of the highest cost for medical and hospitalization.. But, why not simply go to one of the cheaper locations to be treated for this condition at one fourth of the cost.

As you know countries such as India & Malaysia have the lowest cost and highest quality of all medical tourism destinations .... In the past, American patients have traveled to India for procedures such as Birmingham hip resurfacing, which was previously unavailable in the U.S., and has only recently been FDA approved.

Atleast you won't end up spending close to a million dollar ... !

My wife was a director of a large Hospital and there are different programs that might be able to help him out. My wife said that if she knew what state he is in she will research and see what programs he might be able to get into.

I have a friend in NY with kidney disease and she can not afford the transplant which is the only way to keep her alive. I can only watch her die... As I moved out of NY to another country with high hopes it turned out to be the biggest disaster in my life. As I can't even help her, and I'm not going to lie that I'll donate some money. I wish I could. I know it'll sound ridiculous, I have ~60 dollars in my bank account until the 10th of February, the next pay day from my shitty job.

I hope that everything turns out great for Oldenstylehats and I hope some BH folks can donate more than words.

OK my site is slow I am getting attacked on the internet, Remodeling the shop opening a whare house etc... OK with that out in the open.

Have him as soon as he is up and moving and not a day later. Homestead his home. This is in valuable. Its a saftey Net type protection for anything that can come up legally. Its better then bankruptcy protection. Literally you can be sued by God and the home is protected.

Seems a bit unfair the a creditor, And may even seem a little over protective. But dude His health is #1. His home is #2. Lets get first and second base covered in that order.

I just found this site last night. But I am learning as I go. I will say a fast prayer for his recovery and I hope to see him some day on here laughing about the mess like it was nothing.
