So, I'm visiting the lounge again on my break.

A year or so ago, I was consistently fasting for 20 hours per day, and eating in the 4 (getting all my nutrients in one massive meal)

I had more energy, focus and felt healthier than ever.

The only issue is, it's pretty anti social, especially if you're living with friends/family.

I'm trying to get back into it, as personally it is that one "hack" that really boosts my productivity.

What are your opinions on fasting, and have you ever done it before? :)

I'm doing 16/8 now and then, and it's working great.

This might make evolutionary sense, as pyrimitate hunters probably lived a feast of famine life.

We fast for 1 month a year, the benefits are many
Fat Burning. the Stomach and Intestines.
Strengthens Mind Functions.
Strengthens the Body Against Difficult Conditions.
Revitalizes and Brightens the Skin.
It Has Positive Effects on Insulin Resistance.
Strengthens the Immune System.

im ding IM, once I wake up I can eat for 8 hrs, what I noticed is that I definitely sleep better and have 0 problems waking up in the morning

Isn't it bad for health and organs like kidneys or liver to filter a big amount of food in a short period of time?

Fasting seems to be very good but I'm still figuring out what's the best approach to do it without getting negative effects.

For the moment the best to do is eliminate all processed food from your diet, even dairy foods and sugar of course.

Doing 16 hours fasting daily for last 3 months. Results have been outstanding. Only 2 meals a day no snacks in between.

Never fasted in my life, but, I always eat some bananas instead of a lunch meal, works great .. done so for the last 25 years, now I walk like a monkey to .. =)
Banana is a calorie-bomb though. :)

@OP: Fasting is good, especially in the summer, when the weather is hot and often you don't have temptation to eat much anyway. Sometimes i do this one meal per day too, but probably a toned down version is better, when you skip only one meal (the dinner) or skip the breakfast, eat whatever you want for lunch and eat some fruit for dinner. This latter i did, after i graduated from highschool, it resulted in losing 20 kgs in ~2 months.

But eating fruits at night should be avoided at all costs right?

Well, whatever it is, it worked for the last 25 years, and it is good to eat, maybe I was a monkey in my earlier life .. =)

It’s best to ease into the meal with a light salad, then go to the main bit of the meal, when breaking a fast.

But I usually just eat it all in one go, it’s worked for me in the past.

You’re defo right about cutting the dairy and sugar out, as well as grains. :)

Fasting is not meant for everyone. Eat when you're hungry, don't over eat. Exercise and play some sports of your choice, you'll forget fasting.

My thought exactly
If this diet isn't doctor approved - you're just killing yourself
