Is there life after death ?

but why are you asking on this forum, go and search in scriptures you will find it.
Scriptures are written stories and written theories only. Scriptures may contain only theories about life after death, etc. Mayan scriptures will say one thing, Vedic scriptures will say yet another different thing .... It is all theories. no one knows for sure what happens after death.

The question is not only where we are going to be after death .
Why don't we ask where we came from and how we came ? there is a relation between the two questions
Where did all these creatures come from?
This earth, this sky, these stars .....?
If we can understand that , sure we can then know where we will go after the death

everytime I read or someone asks me this question I respond "sleep its death being shy''
Meaning, when you die it just goes black

One comment summarizes it really well:

""Consciousness is merely the universe experiencing itself." This simplistic but ever so thought-provoking quote, in my opinion, sums up the entirety of the human experience into one statement. Think about it. We were once nothing. There was no life on earth, only geological processes and chemical reactions. The first biological life forms began at the bottom of the ocean, completely absent of any consciousness or neurological power. So, it begs the question, what exactly was driving these organisms? As millions of years went by, these lifeforms ever-so-slowly made their way towards the surface, realizing they could instead get their energy from the sun (again, driven by an unexplainable curiosity). Even more millions of years go by and these same life forms that originally had no concept of existence are composed of millions of cells and fully conscious, yet still completely unaware of why it is they do what they do. An incredibly diverse spectrum of aquatic life, yet they all share the single, mind-numbingly simple goal of survival and reproduction in attempts to continue this omnipotent, cyclic force we call life. Now, here we are after 4 billion years and life has evolved into millions of different species of organisms, yet humanity is the only one with full comprehension and free will; the only one with self-awareness. Seven billion land-dwelling, fully intellectual beings who have dominated our planet and extended our reach into our solar system and our understanding to the stars. Furthermore, we not only use our own evolutionary intellectual ability, but instead we have become so advanced that we have expanded our minds through the development of supercomputers that do the thinking for us. Now considering this unexplainable evolution of not only our bodies... but our UNDERSTANDING... ultimately shines a light on the real reason for why we are here and what life truly is. This insatiable hunger of our species to learn and better understand the unknown proves the fact that life is simply a means for the universe to analyze and learn about itself, and we are simply the vessels in which it is doing so through. IS THIS NOT MIND BOGGLING?? WE ARE LITERALLY...LITERALLY THE UNIVERSE EXPERIENCING ITSELF, AND LEARNING AND EXPERIENCING THE WORLD AROUND US IS THE VERY PURPOSE OF LIFE***. Consciousness LITERALLY emerged from inside of our planet and has not stopped expanding outwards and deciphering the unknown since, proving that life is a physical force pushed forth by the universe to see what it created...... thats fucking nuts."

Nobody knows what is after death but Alan Watts has put it in a really amazing way. I get goosebumps everytime I read it.

every scientific things are theories in initial stages. so wait until someone testify it and tell you after death lol.
i am not in a mood of debate on religious things here. this is a not a place to seek such arguments here.

definitely yes, remember there are numerous discovery today, one sample is dark matter, its a thing but we cant see, touch anything but it exist. maybe after we die, we enter into new dimension.

I think this is the same question as "is there a God?" so let's talk about it.

Science is only one way to acquire knowledge that's based on tangible experimentation/perception. If something can't be proven inside a laboratory, then it won't be considered a fact by "Scientists" as they're operating inside a frame "the scientific method" in which they can't operate out of.

There's definitely a life after death and it can be proven by what's known as the basic rational rules of thinking.

They are a set of rules that things in the universe are bound by, for example, the rule of "wherever there's a beginning, there's a cause." Apply this rule to everything you see, you will NEVER find a thing that came into existence/happened without a cause.

Same goes for other rules like the "absolute contradiction/polarity" rule where opposite things can NEVER exist at the same exact time. You can't be physically in New York & London at the same exact time for example.

The big bang theory proves that the universe came into existence out of nothing, which means there was a beginning, and wherever there's a beginning, there's a cause which proves there's a God.

Now we move to scriptures/holy books to see what they say about the afterlife topic. You can do your research to see which religion/holy book proves itself to be the unadulterated letter from God "for me it's Islam" but do your own research "it's going to take time btw but be serious about it."

Probably the only answer that makes sense on the thread and its by Alan Watts

I think so. Energy doesn’t ever die. It just transfers from one thing to another. Equally I don’t think we just die, but rather we transfer to something else. Maybe we are all part of the earth just like our cells are part of us.

So theoretically your energy could be passed over to a near by vibrator

The great design is created with such intelligence that every action of a human life has a reason, the hormonal changes for puberty so that can breed, rising temp of body to kill the virus, our body structure and everything is for a specific purpose.

Now lets talk about death. Ok so your going to die tomorrow. How you feel about that? Scared? Because somewhere we know that this life is precious and unique and its our only chance to explore consciousness and this cancels the possibility of any afterlife.

And if you buy me one more beer i can talk like this for 1 more hour

You had mentioned "scriptures", and I addressed the same with my point of view. And if you incorrectly imply this as an " argument ", then your mindset requires some fine tuning. But, it's OK, you have your opinions & various people have theirs and it's an awesome experience for me to know other's opinions, as that is my mindset. I do not take expressions of opinions as " arguments ". Anyways, you please continue with your internet marketing tasks or any tasks that you are passionate about and the world goes on irrespective of anyone's opinions. Enjoy every moment.

You'll be dead, the world will move on and in 100 years, no one will remember you ever existed :)

Yes, and there is also hell and heaven. Do not ask for proof.
When you take a loan, give a loan, etc, parties transact in a way that there is proof of money exchanged. Everything we do, there has to be a proof trail ... Why only about things like heaven, hell, etc, people say don't ask for proof ? Because there is absolutely no proof.

Outside of books or theories, no real proof exists to support if there is an afterlife or something else which happens to your mind or soul .

Only thing you could say would be when you die in theory if you go into graveyard you could, in theory, allow plants or other things to grow from your body remains
