What if your site is not number 1? How will this trick work? That is what i don't get from this method.
You should to create a term from scratch or choose a keyword that has no competition at all, so you just need to index the page on Google and it will rank easy easy. That's the theory, at least.

You need to do proper keyword research first. Your program name should be so unique that just adding your keyword in title - and you're #1.

You could rank for anything at all even if there are zero search terms, such as; jnrfbrebrdubrbvbgtgtfbtrb

This reminds me of 5 years ago, I posted something similar on a fb golf group, like "Hi everyone, is this golf clubs good for beginner + amazon link?"
I got 1000 link clicks, but no sales

Sounds too good to be true. Anyone with screenshots? Promoting brand that way sounds better.

Replace this junk with name of your brand or app or addon or anything you want. Easy, right? Just keep in mind someone can blacklist that name and you will have to start all over again.

Would you rather promote / search for a brand or a general, descriptive keyword? If someone assured you a certain brand can deliver exactly what you seek, I guess you would google it instantly.

I have done this kind of experiment once and it didn't get me a satisfying number of direct visitors. My brand searches increased but it was nowhere as high as the number of clicks when I posted the link directly.

Or you can use it in the weight loss niche.
Just ask about some strange weight loss program name:
"Hi guys, I want to try this new method: Fat Eraser Super Equilibrium, what do you think?

So they google it and your site is #1.

Or you can use it in any niche you want. You can also make them subscribe to your mailing list and then monetize them using clickbank or other aff. offers.

But there is no product with this name. So you are selling e.g. the real product Fat Burner XXL under the name Fat Eraser Super Equilibrium? Does not look legit. The problem with this method is not getting clicks, but conversions. You will get a lot of clicks because people want to have a look, but I bet there will be no single sale. That's not about the name, but generally people on reddit are not buyers. Second, you are saying "I want to try XXXX, what do you think?". So people look at the product and maybe tell you what they think. But why should they BUY this? You did not say "I already used this and lost XXX pounds", which would be a sales pitch.

The point is to make them subscribe to your email list. And then you can sell them whatever you want.

That sounds good. In theory. But how to do this practically? You are asking them what they think about Fat Eraser Super Blahblah. A product that does not exist. So nobody can give you advice. Many people will just reply "go to Google and check reviews". These people don't buy or give their email address. Others will go to Google themselves and check it out. They maybe go to your site then. What are you giving them then in exchange for their email address? Maybe an ebook. So ok, they give their address, you give the ebook. Later on you send them an email promoting Fat Burner XXL. And in 99% of all cases that's it. I got tons of clicks from Reddit but never any sale.

maybe this work with parasite too, you place your parasit in ex pinterest and say something like "do you know "xyz product", i saw in pinterest seems good, anyone knows" something like that

The search term you use has to be extremely interesting to the readers otherwise I can't see anyone bothering with your question.

Also, this trick can only be used once and if used again, your posts can be taken as spam. Redditors are the shrewdest users on the internet and cannot be tricked that easily. But in theory, this method sounds good.

So we will need to rank on top3 for this to work right?
And for the reddit banning links part i post links on reddit daily and i never get banned. Maybe it comes to choosing the right subreddits to post your links

How do you actually do that, would you mind sharing your method?!

This is a solid method I believe. Twist it and you can make some good cash

This is a great trick. Can be applied in may ways just add your twist.

For all those who said need to rank in top 3, you don't need to rank. Just use a bit of common sense and creativity to write your comment. No point in copying the same comment that OP mentions.

Yes, but where do you insert your link? Just putting a long tail keyword into a post doesn't associate it with you. Also, even though the link to your site will provide a backlink from Reddit, how does the long tail keyword prove useful? What's the indexing mechanism that's being triggered here?

No link is inserted or shared.
This post is all about driving traffic not getting backlinks.
Read the thread discussion, an idea is shared. Then use your mind be creative with your comment.
