Crazy theory about Satoshi

Yesterday I stumbled upon a conspiracy theory that Satoshi's original plan was to pull a "Fight club" ending to the Bitcoin.

I know that this theory sounds crazy and there is 99.9% chance this won't happen, but just think about it.

What if Satoshi's original plan was to make Bitcoin more popular asset than gold. After that wait for the rich people to pour in enough money in BTC and shut the whole blockchain down with some hidden switch. This will lead to enormous loss of money worldwide and the world economy may collapse.

What do you think about this crazy theory?

IMO it's not true. If Satoshi had some hidden plans they will probably be dumping his 1M BTC at some point instead of watching the world burn lol

BTC code = open source.

xx,xxx developers and engineers and researchers have poured over the codebase for BTC ad nauseam and continue to do so every day.

You can't hide kill switches in cryptocurrencies that are open source (thank god). Satoshi can't secretly give themselves 1,000,000 BTC whenever they want. North Korea can't hack the BTC blockchain.

That's just some of the unique value it provides that a bank or central bank doesn't.

It would be hard to believe that it has any kind of hidden thing when lots of people around the world have their eyes on BTC, still won't be the first time humans prove themselves wrong from flat earth theories to the friendly car salesman who most people across the time have thought is there to help you not to sell you.

It would be the cherry on top of the cake for the misinformation era if something like that comes out.

If only you knew Satoshi was upset at the gap of rich and poor, he decided to clear the middle man out, provide money directly to people show they could transfer money for lower fees and so on. It’s a shame various organisations don’t want this to succeed but he would never kill bitcoins and ps he doesn’t need a kill switch all he needs to do is sell his few or all coins and it’ll be end of bitcoins

This will actually strengthen the central banks and the world economic system, not destroy it. People will run away hearing "decentralization" and "cryptocurrency" and flock back to the banks, so yeah nope.

Did you know that there's not a single clear photograph of the earth from space? It's all CGI.

Plus there's proof that the stars are actually just giant lights like a torch that are stationary and not moving. They can turn them on and off whenever they want.

This is all backed by research I did myself by the way.

The world needs to wake up to the reality of the flat earth. We've been lied to by the Pope for centuries.

Hacking and a 51% attack are different.

Bitcoin is not hackable, in the sense that it's code can't be manipulated in order to give gain to people.

A 51% attack is where the majority of hashing power dedicated to mining Bitcoin can be used by a single party or group to create a fork of the main chain where they can add whatever transactions they would like to the blockchain. Because they have majority, that chain would become the "official" BTC blockchain, and they could take BTC from any wallet and send it to any other wallet.

While a lot of people hate on the amount of energy used by the BTC blockchain, it's precisely the huge cost of having 51% of the total hashing power that makes BTC robust against manipulation.

But yeah, hacking the BTC blockchain is not possible at all.

My IQ dropped 20 points just by reading the thread and comments. Of course the probability is not 0 because we live in a world with quantum mechanics so everything is possible. It's as likely as the theory that you are satoshi yourself but just forgot about it after running against a door.
