MINOR UPDATE : MID SEPTEMBER 2020

This update is to prove to everyone that I'm not always killin it on YouTube. YouTube has its ups and downs and currently I'm trending back downwards waiting to fly back up. Nevertheless, my team is currently working on 30+ videos on any given time to prepare for Q4 where I'll be posting daily on all of my channels.

I've always wondered this myself. If they know the ins and outs of how to do it, why don't they just take the same formula themselves and become the "boss" instead of the employee?

I'm sure there's more to it that I don't know about but I've always wondered this myself. Same with VA's (Virtual Assistants). I heard about the VA's being hired in the philipines for like $5 an hour or something (which is a lot for them), but with all intel they get from their employers to run their businesses, why couldn't they see it and realize they could then just start their own?

I even thought at one point it would be a great idea to become a VA yourself just to get the inside track on a really big and successful person so that you can get coached and learn all the inside secrets of their businesss as they pretty much teach you how to run it for them...that is the whole point why they hire a VA so that they don't have to do the work themselves but get the VA's to do 90% of it.

Not everyone has the ambition.

Just a Quick Announcement!

My team and I have been working really hard to launch a service here on BHW for anyone interested in stepping into the Youtube space.

Were offering Automation Channels AKA "Cash Cow" Channels.

Our thread was just approved today so we'll be pretty busy but everyone can visit the thread with the link in my bio :)

I'll still answer all your questions here once every 2-3 days.

Cheers!

@wengthemeng congrats again on your success!
Wanted to ask you - what are your thoughts on giveaways on YT? I see you did use this tactic - is it working, what are some legal stuff related to this, what do you have to include in your youtube info, etc? Thanks.

  1. Do collaboration with other YouTubers, go live on their channels, and also invite them.
  2. Offer lucky draw in return for doing a task like commenting, liking and sharing, etc.
  3. Pick up trending topics for videos and add controversial thumbnail(keep change time to time), use https://trends.google.com/trends/?geo=US
  4. make a telegram group, and grow it along with your youtube channel. Both together can do magic for you, in getting $$$$$$.
  5. ask meme page for shoutouts
  6. Add affiliates to your channel and product link via Youtube.
  7. Set subscriber target and monitor time to time.
  8. Good Luck

Well said!

To everyone who is still wondering about the project manager and how to know that she/he wont steal the business idea.
I guess most of us (especially the older ones of us) had the possibility of copying someones idea. Im also working part time
for a software company. I know everything about this business from their numbers to their software code.
I basically have a blueprint of a successful software company in my hands everyday and I still dont steal it.

the reason for that are actually a few. The first thing that comes to mind is "I cant do it. they are to big, they are in business for like 9 years already,
they would sue me, how to start".. so basically a few thousand excuses why this would not work for me. and this is much worse for people
who never read about mindset and stuff.

Next reason is more logical and only relevant if you think about stealing it. I would feel really really bad for stealing someones idea. I mean imagine that you would be reminded every
single day that you stole someones idea and you would have to compete with the company every time and probably finish second all the time because they are so far ahead.
That would probably crush me because I also really like the people and I would not like to harm them in any way.

I guess the last thing is also very true if reason 2 is irrelevant to them. Most of them would fail because
they maybe like the outcome but they are not ready to start from scratch in this business since its not their passion.
starting from scratch without passion will most likely fail.

And the last thing is that everyone who asked this question should look at their beliefsystem.
You all expected very bad things from this person without knowing her/him. I know that you just want to feel secure but
this is probably not the first time that you had such thoughts. I not telling you to blindly run into every scam.. I just think that
your life becomes much better if you dont prejudice people that quickly. This alone made my life a lot better. ^^

I mean this is one of the most important steps to success.. delegate work to focus on new cash cows. :)

Why manufacturers don't sell directly to the end customers, but they follow complicated distribution channels with midlemen/retailers?!!!

Or the classic question, why would a "successful" creator willing to be hired-hands accepting jobs making content for others who's gonna be his own competitors for small sum of money compare to what his self-claim revenue. Why don't he just scaling up his "empire" by him self.

Wouldn't it will be much easier and convenience if he just stays under the radar ransacking Youtube's money left and right. He has the "experience". He has the "knowledge". He has the "skills". He has the "capital". He has the "team". Yet, he's just other's goon. I wonder why.

Hey man, just ready this thread from start to finish and im really inspired. I just started my own youtube channel in a niche I love and am passionate about.

I have a few questions.

  1. How do I get traffic to my videos if I dont have any subscribers? Do I pay for ads? I have been posting to reddit and forums/groups related to my niche. But not sure if there is anything else I can do.
  2. My channel is faceless, but my videos require a lot of research for each one. I'm aiming to publish 2-3 times a week, but would it be worth it to also have someone write scripts for me to increase the amount I can output?
  3. Kind of a broad question, but what would you recommend to me as someone starting a new channel?
Thanks and congrats on your success!

Thanks so much for the kind words!

1. Do NOT pay for ads. Create searchable content and make sure your keyword is in the FRONT of your title and also in the first line of your description.
2. If you can afford having someone write the scripts for you, then i would hire someone out. I HATE writing so scriptwriting was the first task I outsourced.
3. Haha, indeed quite broad. Here's a copy and paste message i left on another thread:

1. Put your main keyword FIRST in your title
2. Invest a good amount of time and/or money into a thumbnail designer. Thumbnails will make or break your videos.
3. You dont have to reinvent the wheel when you're first starting. Simply copy other videos that have done well and create a better version of them.
4. Posting DAILY on a new channel is the most ideal growth strategy, just dont suffer from burnout.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for the amazing thread it's been incredibly helpful.
Quick question.
I have a channel pulling in 4 millions views per month in the fitness niche. '
My CPM is $4.21 but my RPM is only $0.60.
Any idea why this is so low? All of my videos are monetize but I'm only making arounf $2.5 - 3k from 4 million views.
I have all the ads on besides 'non skipable' and on average have 3 ads per 8 minute video.
My average view duration is pretty low tho (2 minutes), any insight would be amazing.

There could be a few reasons:
1: Is your channel in english? If it isnt, that equals a low CPM
2: Are any of your titles related to brand name/ specific/ high end products? If not, that might equate to a low CPM (i.e. bicep workouts)
3. It's quite hard to raise CPM but you might want to try videos like "CHRIS HEMSWORTH: Here's How to Train Like Him"

Targetting more popular names/ specific places/ people might raise the CPM a tad bit. CPM is tricky to raise though.

Your team knows the skills and everything so why not just they create there own channel and earn 20k$ like you , why they working for $5 for you

So it's been a while, no one one my team makes only $5/ project from me. The least is $15 per project and thats because i try to treat them well.

But the reason why they dont do it themselves is because they may not know how. Their ambition may lie in just scriptwriting because they love scriptwriting. I'm just here to help them fulfill their goals whilst fulfilling mine.

There's a lot more to YouTube than just the creation process. I am CONSTANTLY analyzing videos round the clock and deconstructing what works and what doesnt work.

@wengthemeng congrats again on your success!

I used to do giveaways but have stopped just because i want to keep my channel ethical. It's a good tactic, however, i usually include a disclaimer in the description regarding the giveaway. I havent heard me or any one else run into any problems.

So this "creator" youre talking about- im not really hiring full on creators- im compiling a team to BECOME the creator as a whole. The video editors dont have the knowledge to research, script, voiceover, thumbnail, or optimize the video. There's a lot of parts to it.

Your path motivates me. Where do you get music for your videos? Should I take music from NCS YouTube channel?

Im actually a long time subscriber of storyblocks. I get my music from there. It's a bit expensive though.
