12/15 - Just wanted to provide a quick update.
As some of you may know.. as of last Wednesday, I learned that I was breaking Amazon's TOS by direct linking. Thank you
@dandan594594 for pointing that out to me.. so I had to revise what I was doing. I have since built a new site. No I can't share the url but I can tell you that I've built an ecommerce store now. No more direct linking.
The rep I am working with at Microsoft, provided me with some good feedback and it should also resolve the disapproved ads issue I was having on many of my campaigns linking to Amazon. While I was able to always "eventually" get them approved, it was a headache always having to call in because of the immediate disapprovals.
The positive is that the rep worked out a $200 credit in ad spend for me for my patience (that's what they told me) and letting their team work through the issues with me. So while that money is going back to future ad spend, it may as well be considered profit that I didn't have to work for this week. Even after I paused all of my campaigns I still brought in another $35 which was cool.
The new site since it's only been LIVE for 2 days hasn't brought in any new sales, but that's fine. I tend to look at it this way.. if it doesn't work, then I'll just keep tweaking things until I can find a recipe that works. "Never Give Up". I've got over 700 products added to the store and today so far I've seen 88 impressions on the site and I've set up a Bing campaign targeting 2 keywords that are the most relevant for what I'm targeting for the new site's campaign.
Get this.. it hasn't cost me a dime in ad spend yet on that campaign !
I guess people are just seeing the site and typing in the url instead ? Again there are absolutely no other advertising channels at this point and the site is only 2 days old.
Hoping for conversions.. that would be awesome especially since ad spend is at $0.. however, If I don't get any conversions I'll still continue to make some changes until I get that first conversion and go from there.
No additional CPA earnings for now but I might work that in to the new site somehow too as another section maybe ?
That's it for now.
Definitely not a total loss this week with the free $200 from Bing to use.
