Is the IG game dead / not worth starting from scratch

Few months ago I've read the prof's guide here on BHW and got super hyped.

A bought an old cheap almost dead desktop and installed linux to host my proxy server with real sim cards, and a VM with windows 7 for Jarvee.

I bought 10 cheap 1 month aged accounts and started warming up. I was getting block very easily so I had to keep likes and follows super slow. I've also set up a campaign so the accs would get some posts to look real.

At the end of the month I made in total 1k followers

I was expecting to get at least 500 per account, 1k each at the best, so I was very demotivated.

I probably did many things wrong, also probably the accounts were not good quality to begin with. But an average of 100 follower per account was a very shitty result. My follow back rate was quite high actually, is just that the bots weren't following as much as expected. I started doubting the software as well as my skills

Jarvee + sim cards + electricity + hardware costs were way too high for this poor result.


So my question is: Do you honestly believe it still worth it or the game is too badass for beginners at this point ?

Instagram isn't dead, the problem is first that you bought accounts which probably were already flagged. Also if the accounts were made with an IP address and now you're using a different IP with your proxy, that sends another red flag to Instagram.

You want to start with no more than 5 follows at a time, doing batches at least 15 minutes apart. Every day you can increase that number to 6 at a time, then 7 all the way up to about 15-20 actions at a time. If you run into limitations that way, scale back the number of actions and instead increase the frequency a little instead of the number of actions.

Finally, use bots that don't interact with Instagram's API and don't reveal information through embedded browsers or web drivers. Jarvee and almost every bot you'll find publicly sold will get your account banned.

As long as there are users on Instagram, you can still grow your account. You just need to do things differently. Running accounts on a bot and hoping you'll grow passively is a thing of past.

Yes, it did get harder but not in a way that it's worth abandoning. Maybe now you need much better content and more strategy when doing actions so they look as natural as possible.

i know ppl still doing it, but this method is outdated and not recommend to start in 2020.
Unless your a real pro, and have a direct income source from it.

best to not waiste your time, energy and resources
insta is also not as big a source for sales as people think.
so your basically just supporting fb inc to have more content, to sell ads to ad buyers and make another 700 billion.

1.dont sleep on Google. SEO .. way more actual business come from there!
2. more sales come from pinterest than from IG, on shopify at least.
3.Paid ads
4. for social platforms go for newer or less exploited platforms, that are growing fast , which normally means they havent closed most easier growth methods yet, cause the methods are newer.

THX for your extensive contribution, that's exactly what I thought. Do you use Shopify? I tried it once but every single plugin came out to be expensive af.

Also they charged me a lot after I had cancelled the free trial. It was the only case in years of using PayPal, my refund request was refused.

After reaching out many times to Shopify they finally gave me my money back, but PayPal just refused without explanation.

It was clear I had in fact cancelled the plan, and I provided extensive proofs, but those guys teamed up to rape my white a**, I was basically the small fish with no human rights in this game.

Man I completely lost my faith in PayPal and society in general. The basic deal society sells us is "behave well and others will behave well to you" but what you actually get istead is "shut up and thank good I use lubes to f***k your ass, no refunds"

I suppose you're both right. But my point is, it is not worth it anymore. It was once, it was a lot easier and lots of money were rolling. Nowdays I think you can still profit if you've got the right info and tools, as videosocialmediawizz said, there are better ponds to go fishing

Quality account and quality content will always rule Instagram! It's obviously not as easy as it used to be a few years back but if you can think out of the box and add a strategy to your game which other people haven't thought of yet, you should be able to do pretty well.

For example, I saw a meme page bragging about how it posted 2.2 million pictures on its page without a single ad, bought a couple of shoutouts from other popular meme pages and now it's already crossed a million in followers and is selling shoutouts to brands directly.

I've never found 4G proxies to be necessary. I just use residential proxies. As long as you know how to bot properly it can be easy and profitable. I made my own tools because nothing I found publicly did the job.

Yup I program my own bots. I'm going to be selling them soon. The reason I decided to do so is that almost all bots have at least one of a few problems (Including Jarvee).

1.The only way bots like Jarvee can have as many features as they have and be able to manage many accounts simultaneously is through API calls, a way to communicate through Instagram without actually browsing through the site or app. The problem is that do an API call requires the program to identify itself to Instagram. So every person who uses Jarvee is telling Instagram that they use Jarvee.

Regardless of if you do a few actions at a time or a lot, Instagram will likely eventually ban you. That's why there are countless posts about bans related to Jarvee. They do a lot of advertisement on the site and forums so there are plenty of people that have positive things to say, but all you need to do is spend some time reading all the posts to realize that nothing about the program is safe. A year or two back it was fairly safe, but Instagram has cracked down on automation in the last year, and almost all the tools that have been around for more than a year were designed in a way that no longer works.

People spend years developing their bots though, so rather than find a way to actually automate Instagram safely, many people focus their efforts on marketing and convincing people that they are doing something wrong if their accounts get banned with the software. This is a marketing forum after all. So people continue to spend money on the monthly fees and waste their time growing accounts that will almost 100% be banned sooner or later.

2. Other bots besides Jarvee can sometimes work for awhile, but eventually get banned when they get popular. Instagram has a machine learning algorithm that is constantly trying to detect automation, so if a bot gets popular enough Instagram will usually be able to detect it.

3. The primary way bots that don't communicate with Instagram's API work is through Selenium, an automation web driver. The problem with that is although Instagram may not be able to identify the exact program you're using, Instagram can tell that you are using a browser that is controlled by automation. So again, they will eventually ban you more often than not.

I have been finding ways for the last few years to avoid Instagram's detection, and the program I use/have made doesn't do anything to communicate information to Instagram. It would be very difficult to detect because it navigates through Instagram the same way a person would, at least as far as Instagram can see.

Jarvee isn't bad. The guy is just trying to promote his tool saying that Jarvee is using mainly API calls which you have the option to do or not. API is needed to be used only by scrapers for the rest of the accounts you can use Embedded Browser. Instagram it's not detecting anything, they are looking at your account quality, your IP quality, and based on how you randomize your actions to look as human as possible you won't be limited. However, these days it's more difficult, I used to do around 800 follows/day with Database Proxies 2 years ago and now I can't go above 150-200 with residential proxies, and with 4G Proxies I can do almost double than that and with residentials, I'm getting way more action blocks. However, you should test for yourself to see which is going better but I would recommend going with 4G Proxies for main accounts and residential/database for your scrapers.

THATS A LOT, 150-200 per account. Thank you for the hope. I am planning to follow about 50 people per day on 1 account. Since youre doing 150-200. I wont be too difficult. I will try to make it looks as much human like as possible. thank you a lot for the advice

Use embedded browser in jarvee. Its basiclly selenium. Also, just to let you know that selenium is pretty easy to learn.
