Wealthy Redirect - Blank Referer Script

I just finished making a little script for everyone which allows you to cloak your affiliate link (e.g. http://yoursite.com/afflink) and send a blank referer at the same time. This is a great help if you're wanting to hide your traffic sources from you affiliate manager etc...

It also includes a feature to help track campaigns. Other than that it's pretty basic.

Excuse me for my ignorance, but I have a question concerning the cloaking part.

I have seen affiliate links with clickbank, for example. When you click on them, a php script will remove the ID and just show the customer the main affiliate URL, but somehow you still get paid.

Is that something I can do with this script? I just started learning PHP.

I'm not sure but it seems to me like if a potential customer can see that affiliate ID they may be less likely to buy, or may even just remove it and go over to the main product site.

I have seen affiliate links with clickbank, for example. When you click on them, a php script will remove the ID and just show the customer the main affiliate URL, but somehow you still get paid.

The script that removes your Clickbank ID from the URL that shows in the address bar has to be installed on the vendor's webpage - it's not something you can do when you send visitors.

Unfortunately, most Clickbank vendors don't bother to install such a script. Maybe they're just concerned with making the sale, whether it's thru your affiliate link or not. Many times people will see the 'hop=yourID' and they'll know it's a clickbank product. Then they buy thru their own affiliate link and you get no commission.

If you're dealing with a short list of vendors, you could try to convince them to install such a script on their site to remove the 'hop' stuff, but I don't think there's much you can do to remove it from your end.

Another option you might consider is that instead of sending prospects directly to the vendor's website, just open the vendor's website in an iframe on your own site. This way, you'll receive proper credit for the sale and your URL will show in the address bar.

can you encode this guys algorithm in your script.
basically setting a cookie and storing the users IP address into a mysql DB, and then do a double redirect to the CPA offer. However when azoogleads quality control team decides to check the referring URL, their IP address was not logged so it will show them a legitimate whitehat site.

You can use 'Aff*iliate Clo*aker' script to achieve that effect. I use it for my clickbank affiliate links. Pleae search this forum for download.

With a simple redirect it can be done no problem, i suppose the seller could add a simple meta refresh to his page, but it actually makes no difference.

For those that are after this effect here is a script i found years ago, which does just this. I also realised there was an easy way to use the same script for PDC, so wrote another readme for modding it for PDC. Both scripts are below in this one zip.

To say you MADE this is kinda farfetched, don't you think? Especially wen you just modded, well really not even MODDED, but CHANGED a couple of words (those being creditory showing the real creator & the terms used)

However, the original either sends a blank referrer, the admin page, OR the URL specified.

Yours on the other hand sends... wait, i'll be damn... THE SAME!!! Oh, except the admin page part. hmmm....

i just tested this thing out last nite, be careful with this when blocking referers if you are buying cheap traffic and trying to block the referer. if you are getting traffic from somewhere like from buyhitscheap or similar, the referer will not be blanked with this type of method, so cover your ass another way if that is what you are planning to do.

but if you are sending regular traffic that is not from sources like that, it works great! i like the face that is gives you the option to block or not block the referer as needed per each cloaked link. and very easy to setup

Anyone here know of a way to block/blank out the referrer for cheap traffic like that?

I've seen some buyhitscheap traffic getting through certain scripts of mine for some reason, no idea why.
