Great thread here! It's a shame I've registered only today I will start a test on it tomorrow, with a link to my e-mail and then I will send the customers to Amazon site.
If it still works, I will update. And of course I will do it on a large scale...

Amazon requires approval before getting into their affiliate program now? Wow alot has changed when I first signed up. Do they still offer those crap net 60 terms or have they changed that?

BTW cool method. I might test it but not likely. $7 a day is chump change really.

damn, I just checked couple of cities on CL - its packed with bhw- "sorry don't have image - email me " , LOL.

I think I'll put a little twist and shoot small campaign.

I try to sign up for an Amazon associate and then under Account Settings, they will ask you to select a Payment Plan , either "Classic" or "Performance"..

Any suggestions what do you normally choose ?

- Classic
• Flat referral rate of 4%.

- Performance
• Referral rates from 4% to 8.5%, depending on your shipped items volume.

At the same time, do you need to have a different ID for different campaigns ?

here's an interesting question. On those items with free shipping from amazon. Can you tell the people from CL to send you money in paypal and you'll deliver the item to their home? (as in give the address where it should be delivered to amazon and they do the work for you? is that possible?)

You also need to know that Craigslist and other similar sites spider to see if the same add appears in a number of different cities. Needless to say, if it does they zap it. Better vary the add copy for each city if you want to internationalize this trick.

I think it might work well, I had the idea too but I haven't tried yet. This trick would certainly work with Amazon but with others also. All you have to do is to find websites with cheap items you can make a good profit from reselling them on CL. CL buyers can pay you by Paypal or whatever and you send the item to them directly from the item's website (i.e. Amazon or other).
