Fanboys battle (Apple vs Microsoft)

MacBook Pro. You can easily sync it with your phone and of course, you know how the quality of Apple devices is ;)
Oh, you need to sync? Don't forget to buy an iphone, and a lightning cable, and an apple charger, and an apple brain. :p

If you had a windows/linux PC, you could sync with your existing phone without having a hole in your pocket. lol @ apple ecosystem

@Gogol and dont you dare get me started on the bloody wheels.

oh goddamit, Well, dear @Kenobii It wont work unfortunately, it is not a good fit you know. It is not equipped with the Mac PRO wheels. and OP is probably rolling with an outdated 6 month old IPHONE so he need to allocate more funds into buying a new phone. :)

I am waiting for the Apple fanboys coming in with cutting edge features like having a thin laptop and fewer usb ports and stuff like that. Sorry guys, aside from the Mac OS, i dont see anything else. I just dont get you people sometimes.
I wish I had a macbook for perosnal usage right now though. I am doing a project in react native right now and I apparently have no way to see the ios version using metro bundler. This weekend, I am gonna attempt installing hackintosh to solve this problem.

If any of you guys know of a good ios simulator for windows, it will be great. P.S. it can be a paid one as long as it does not burn a hole in my pocket.

Let me start the battle by saying that mac means Shit hardware at 3 times the price. Yeah, mac os is pretty good. I would just build a hackintosh instead of buying overpriced hardware that gets obsolete in 2 years.

#FlameIncoming
Straight facts.

I'd get Windows.

Anything Apple related will surely burn a hole in my pocket. I saw few years back a chinese guy who sold one of his kidneys to buy apple products, Sad isn't?

I will be the traitor here. IMO Apple phones are shit but when it comes to iMac and Mac Pro it's something else, the device lasts for a decade. I don't like to change stuff every time on my computer and for this, windows based computers are a nightmare. Even if you buy the best windows computer for $2000 in less than a year the value will be at -50%, buy an iMac or Mac Pro, 10 years later you can still resell it with a good price without any issue.
And don't talk about video games, switch, ps4 and Xbox one are enough for this.

Always Mac, its has aluminium body make, dropped 10 times from table by my kid. nothing happened,
PS-my only reason.

No matter how expensive your MacBook is, it won't be standing over 2 years without having some problems and if you do not buy an Applecare then, your repair bill will be horrible : ))

After reading this thread I started hating my MacBook

I run a Dell XPS 15 ( Windows ) for personal everyday work and an iMac if I have to work on heavy video edits with Davinci .

They both have their purpose and shouldn't feel bad on your choices.

@OP you should have a look at XPS 15 series flagship. I run the old model (9560) and still performs real good till date.

seems interesting

any more thoughts? ideas?

Lol, no one is mentioning HP Envy or Spectre; aren't they good laptops too?

I'd suggest you wait for few months. Nvidia has released the RTX 3K series, and in coming months different brands will release laptops with these cards, and as the price of these new graphics cards is low, you'll be able to buy a really good quality future proof laptop for 2k.

Yeah, +1 for the new nvidia cards. Saw it on LTT, it looks sick!!

In my opinion, for a laptop, i'd better recommend a macbook. Windows are only great for desktops since they are upgradable.

MacBook.
OSX is 10 times more optimized than Windows, so if the specs look bad remember that they’re literally all you need.

Updates every year and lasts for years, my brother uses the same MacBook he bought from 2012(!!!).

Overall a much more smoother experience compared to windows.

Is it pricey? Yup. Does it last more than a windows computer? According to my experience, yes. Is it worth to get a hackintosh? No, because you update to the latest software and suddenly the whole computer is burning in flames.

I tried buying a Macbook Pro - I'd never used iOS before, I stuck with it for a month thinking it would get better but it was terrible. The laptop specs where higher end, for Mac anyway which of course isn't close to Windows. The main and biggest issue I had with it is the use of Excel / Sheets, it was terribly slow.

I've had a few windows laptops in the past, some decent ones and yeah happy with them.

However, curve ball. The best laptop I have is actually my current one, an i7 Pixelbook. It's so quick, and perfect for my lifestyle, you just close the lid and open it again and your right back to it, I have to stop and start a lot with the child always keeping me on my toes. Everythings app based so it's amazingly quick. Although I know it isn't suited for everyone, a gamer wouldn't want it for instance...

No offence but most users replying here are probably the ones who never used any apple device. Same goes for iOS or Android. They call it overpriced, shit products but the fact is they never owned it because they cant afford it
