In January of 2020 I created a website made out of 5 pages and 50 words in total. There are no articles, photos or videos. What is it then you might ask? Well, it’s a 5 page quiz site containing short, simple questions and some SVG icons. It was made in few hours with only HTML & CSS, but was styled to look like a mobile app.

I had no clue if this idea would work, but I’ve spent good couple of weeks following various SEO guides to try and rank it up. Shortly, to my surprise it was #1 for multiple keywords. As of right now it is earning me around $100 monthly and I haven’t updated anything since January.

How? Users take a short quiz, get a reward they clearly want, and uh oh they need to install an app to get it, bummer. Obviously majority doesn’t, but there is enough traffic for the conversions to be solid. If a person is searching for something entertaining, just give them what they want.

Point of this post? Not everything is black and white. There isn’t a minimal word count on the internet and google won’t punish you for not following the crowd, as long as it doesn’t violate any rules. Stay creative folks.

P.S. I’m not selling anything and won’t respond to DM’s, use your own imagination.

Congrats and good outside the box thinking OP. Which app download provider you using? I'm looking for some right now, is yours good?

Nicely done OP! Little question,What kind of reward the user is getting? After completing the quiz?

so .... Traffic + Session Time = better rankings

So what is the reward? Its just a fake thing to get them to download the offer?

it seems that you have made a website which give some draw coupon to the customers. But if 99% of your customer are not winning the prize then they will not be your returning customer/ viewers. And they will hardly view your 1 page and then get out from your site so the dropping rate will be increased and each of these parameters will be counted.
What you are getting right now may be because of some kws which are doing favour for your site but this will not continue for long if you dont do some thing really good with your site
