Is Coronavirus really that dangerous? Is it even real? - Stupid woke culture in a nutshell

I just wrote a long-ass post and then decided to delete it. I just have no clue what the point of this discussion is. I also have no clue what the point of this thread is. Do you want to convince people?

There is a lot of shit going on. Many unanswered questions. In my opinion, many of the actions and reporting we see is just to divide the people.

I was in Korea and China from January to July. I can tell you this: The people are way calmer and REASONABLE because they don't get confronted with bullshit panic-making stories.

Stay reasonable, look out for yourself, look out for others and this pandemic is over sooner or later.

My 2 cents...

Yes, the virus exists.
Yes, he is very strong!
Yes, we all have friends or heard about someone who has lost someone they love!

The virus may not kill anyone under the age of 35 or in 99% of cases, but it is possible that it will cause a big lung problem (example).

My attitude towards the virus is as follows, yes, the virus exists, can I control it, I can't.

I can take care of myself and my family.
But if I’m destined to get sick, I’ll get sick and that’s it.

I don’t like to think too much about things I can’t do anything specific about, honestly.

I mean, don't we all have already enough problems IRL?
Adding a few more is a no-no in my book.

I don’t like the fact that people are still misled that this is just an ordinary virus.
People who just don't give a fuck about others and in my area, these are the people who are mostly getting sick, people with the mindset "all this is BS - it won't happen to me"!

When all this started I thought we would all finally get closer.
We will finally understand how separated we all are!
We will finally realize that we cannot survive without each other!
But ... Unfortunately, that doesn't happen, as far as I can see, the situation is even worse!

I don't like the fact most people don’t stick to some of the most basic things, for them to be safer and for others also!

I mean, what do I have from saying "virus does not exist"?
It doesn't make any sense + getting in discussion with these people is a pain in the ass.

I don't watch TV, I don't follow the news because...
As always, every country will try to use this virus in its own way, whether it's controlling people (FEAR) or destroying the social system, it doesn't matter...
It's awful that they do it!

Honestly, I don't know how we as people and the whole civilization will get out and "restart" after this because as usual, people just don't care for themselves, how will they care for others?

Try to save yourself and your loved ones, do it in the best possible way!

My advice is not to follow the news (at least don't do it all day every day!)!

I have friends who from the beginning are in front of the damn TV every day all day just watching about it and just talk about it!
No, no virus will touch them, they have already literally killed themselves in the brain because the information being served is not beautiful of course.
Listening every day to how many people got sick, how many people died is really cruel, and at the same time, you know that you are not the most mentally healthy.

Classic... When you know that something is wrong, it is not good for you and your health, but you still do it even though you know it is not good!

Either way, take care of yourself and your loved ones again, try not to burden yourself too much.
Follow only as much as you think is normal and how much you need to be up to date with everything.

We will get through this...

Everybody abuses the idea of "woke" culture and wanting to feel like they're more "aware" than everybody else is. It feels good for someone to feel like they have an edge over others "GUYS WAKE UP, blip blap blop bloop". Yeah, I normally tune out the rest after those first 3 words.

"nah it's nothing"
"nah, it's a scam - the government is trying to control you"
"nah, economy could run just fine, there's something else at play"
"nah, it's not that dangerous, relax"
"honestly not a big deal, media is just overplaying it"

Cringe, cringe, cringe. IQ nose dive.

Coronavirus IS real and it is dangerous as far as we know. Some friends' families have been affected and a distant family member in my family has also fallen victim to it.

Dangerous? Yes. Absolutely mind numbingly deadly virus? Not really, but it's still bad - the virality factor on it's own is a terrible trait but researchers and doctors are only learning more as the pandemic goes on.

In fact, studies are starting to show that it can bring in many long-term damages to your health even after you get it and you're fine. People are experiencing forms of brain damage, weaker hearts and a less-healthy, more damaged body. The symptoms for lost sense of taste and other sensories? Yeah, that's the brain taking a little beating. How? It's more than just a flu, it is a virus that invokes blood clotting which is only something we recently realized as to why so many of the symptoms are the way they are.

For example the blue toes that some kids get from it and the heart and lungs having to push harder, loss of taste and smell. We still don't really know much and people think it's smart to dismiss a novel virus that we have no idea of and it's potential long-term damages? Cool.

Look around at research papers and do proper due diligence before you dismiss something that has literally caused hundreds of thousands of deaths of people who had families and loved ones who are now mourning them. Hell, look at the gigantic community of people who HAVE HAD covid and are sharing their experiences AFTER contracting the virus and how they're dealing with it.

I'm still going out in small groups with my friends to hang out, go for groceries and doing everything. Only difference is not going to big events, or clubbing, travelling, etc. It's a small sacrifice but at least I know I'm not contributing to the absolute dumbassery of dismissing it and spreading it nonsensically while pushing the idea of not wearing a mask is a right. I mean imagine being that selfish and self-righteous.

This whole event has been absolutely bizarre, it has really brought to light how dumbed down a lot of people are suffering normalcy bias. And when people do try to express the gravity of the situation, they're accused of being "fear mongerers" when all they're trying to do is keep you informed so that you don't have the kind of situation we have now where people are running around saying there's nothing to worry about which is exactly how it even got this bad in the first place. Granted, some people really do fear monger the shit out of it, there is a way to say it right. Yet many people deny anything that shifts any comfort from their sweet little zone of normalcy bias.

Is this post to scare you? No.

The whole idea is so that you don't spread bs misinformation before doing your own due diligence. Having ignorant people spreading misinformation is dangerous as it leads to people downplaying something that is threatening many people's lives.

You can live your life and enjoy your time with your friends and family. Where I live, the restrictions are being slowly lifted as things ease down. Try not to be selfish and it's not a big deal to wear a mask going in for appointments or picking up groceries. Some people need to get over themselves and start being more compassionate and more open-minded.

Jesus Christ, I'm never mentioning this corona-virus topic again because I hate it but it makes my blood boil seeing people write nonsensical statements about something that is very real and hurting people around me and loved ones.

As a someone from central Europe country, who's close to doctors, they really treat it like a flu. Only patients that are sick on other diseases are dying after they were infected with corona but they most likely would die if they caught flu, too. They are just vulnerable to any infection because of their other sickness.

And from what I see over the internet, there is SO MUCH PANIC in America about that, that you would never meet here. Like really. The % of dead is THE SAME all around the World. This is like 0.001%.

People would eat 5 pounds of sugar in already prep, lowest quality food every day, feedin their cancer which is responsible for 1000x more deaths, and still wear a mask and agree with cancelling their primary laws by government because of this "enormous danger".

Lol! I wonder when people will start barking as government told them to!

Control. You are being controlled by ones who spread panic. This is where the real control is.

No, not like that, as that appears to be corruption and not related.

Whatever way you want to spin it, the UK death rate increased by a huge amount during the Covid spike, it's not a coincidence. That's with only a tiny percentage of the population being infected. If the virus was left to run its course through the population you would expect deaths to be in biblical numbers, likely exceeding UK deaths in the last two world wars by a huge margin.

On my parents street, there have been 3 deaths related to Covid. It's a tiny street in Scotland.

Whoever thinks covid is fake or not a risk needs to have their head looked at. Not everything that inconveniences you is a conspiracy theory.

Honest question. If you believe in conspiracy theories and it all getting blown out of proportion. Why do you think governments around the world reacted the way that they have? Is it part of some deeper conspiracy?
Yes, I do think it is. Let's see what happens..

I hope I'm wrong.

BuT I WaTcHeD A ViDeO On YoUtUbe!

FFS. How many people here make money on Youtube with fake news, misleading titles and otherwise? Same with blogging.

One thing this forum has taught me is to never take ANYTHING at face value - especially not in places where there is money that can be made.

The best you can do is to look after yourself and your family. Eat well. Get enough sleep. Get regular exercise. Wash your hands regularly. Avoid crowds. Keep your distance from strangers - even the pretty ones! It's not 100% effective but it will help to prevent most diseases out there.

Guys just a piece of friendly advice: Don't get too obsessed with all this bullshit. It makes you depressed and hopeless. Especially in these times, people are sitting at home, losing their jobs, watching videos on YouTube, and reading all kinda stuff on websites...don't get obsessed with it.

You can't control the behavior of other people. You can't control the actions made by the government. Live your life and handle the situation the best you can by yourself.

It’s definitely real, pretty sure it killed my dad, made my sister really sick and her daughter 18 - fit - no health conditions was on forced oxygen (not intubated) - I know plenty of people in real life that have got super sick from it - for months.
The virus is real and is not the flu .... nothing like it.
The rest - the nwo stuff etc, If that’s actually going to happen- we don’t have any choice anyway.
Focus on you, your family and getting ready for the economic changes that are on the way.
I'm sorry for your loss :( It seems it took a heavier toll on your family than most others as in even your sisters daughter who is young is in a bad shape :( Do you think it could be some kind of a genetic predisposal to the virus?

I don't know / care if it's real. Never stopped working and never used a meme mask. Live your life and stop being a pussy

I really like how all the “woke people“ call others brainwashed but their “wisdom“ comes from YouTube Gurus, Facebook and Twitter.

Hello, thanks for your words. Not that I’m aware of, all of us are white no or low risk compared to others. With dad his age could have been a factor but he was not that old. They talk now about people getting sick from lots of exposure so it could be something to do with that.?
I don’t know?

My opinion virus exist? yes. it's contagious, it's dangerous? yes, but not as dangerous as how it;s being painted by the media
The lockdown itself took more victim than the pandemic, i think the best to do is social distancing no putting lockdown and stopping economy. well it's too late for that thought.

Coronavirus sensationalism is the modern day Reefer madness.
I imagine indoctrinated campaigners also
thought it makes them look sophisticated and smart to belittle and mock pro-marijuana sceptics because the most intellgentinist, geekenst-lookinist, lab coat wearinist, media endorsedenist people in the whole damn universe ever told everyone from their 'totally not industrially funded scientific findings' that marijuana is basically as deadly as nightshade.

Oh, how times have changed :)

Except its not at all similar.

This guy's like doubling down on the woke thing without even realizing it lol. It's brilliant how the brain can work against you ☺

Reading this thread just reinforces how bad this is. Just people squabbling about bs.

You're missing the point - the relentless propaganda machine that is the globalised mainstream media has simply shape-shifted into a new nemesis that's design to mould the way we behave, the way we think, the way we spend - the way we live. It worked then and it's working again now.
I know it might make many people feel 'privileged' and 'special' to really conform to an a very loud, needy, obscure and dubious take on intellectualism that is the medias really haphazard, often mislead and sometimes simply incorrect take on any actual objective report (journalists are not trained statisticians - they are given templates by editors about how any story should be covered, simply omitting any facts that don't suit their agenda. Usually, there's no shortage of dramatic value either). May I remind you, the 'news' from it's inception was never designed to be a 'voice of reason' or truth - it was originally designed to give economic insight regarding the financial markets back in the 17th century. Not long after, for whatever reason, the financial broadcasting was layered with socio-political coverages designed to promote political policy that a paper was in allegiance with on a dual paradigm. Believe it or not, that nearly every single newspaper around the globe still reports according to a political affiliation and incentive on the left-right paradigm is still true to this day :)

PS telling yourself you're smart because you read and act like a wannabe upper-middle class yuppie and tell other people they're idiots because their point of view isn't the loudest or most heavily funded, doesn't actually make you smarter, it just usually means while you're sitting cross legged at starbucks, sipping your latte, reading the latest the guardian updates, that you're well on your way to mastering the art of smelling your own farts. That's all ;)

I'm not going to let a pandemic or a government control my life!

Pre covid life: Sitting at home all day wasting time online while living an uneventful life, working & paying taxes, and going to the occasional restaurant/bar/movie :p
