Someone transferred $1 billion in BTC, imagine clicking send.

Here is the trade:

From Vice:

Decrypt noted that the sending wallet was recognized as the largest Bitcoin wallet not known to be associated with a business such as an exchange. This means that it could belong to a wealthy private individual, or it could really belong to an exchange, investor, or other business that is simply currently unknown.

what a wealthy guy..

dreaming of it could be me

As FIAT currencies face INFLATION due to the recent COVID-triggered CRAZY financial policies, expect more people to place their faith in cryptocurrencies

It's only a matter of time

There must have been huge transaction fee!

Imagine if it's Paypal. They're expected to announce the use of BTC for payment using Paypal and Venmo in the near future. it would certainly generate interest and new accounts.

Reminds me of this guy:

Actually a few months ago a whale transferred $450M with a fee of $400. Still high compared to most fees, but as a percentage of the total value of the transaction, it's insanely small.

But then again if you want to see how cheap it can really get:

$194M in BTC for 10 cents. For comparison, via a bank would cost $10,000 per $1,000,000 - or a total of $1,940,000

When people say that crypto has no value and will go to zero, I wonder if you asked the guy(s) who paid $0.10 to transfer $194M if he thinks crypto has value?

Most probably an exchange. I check thrice for payments above $10 and imagine the guy making the transfer sweating.

Yeah, it can be paypal... they're recently hiring blockchain people.
