Hello bhw!
I just joined amazon affiliate program, i though i give it a try. Here are my questions if anyone wants to help me out :
1- Do they have a fixed commission for the product categories or every product has its own commission % ?
2- How does this "verification sales" works? They wont pay me right away?
3- i have submited a couple of sites, is it against the rules to put links in a another site different that those?
4- i have signed up for the US aff program, but my traffic will be world wide. Is there any solution to this, bc i have heard only people from US can buy.

PS : Im new to this so ANY help is appreciated

Hi

1) commission is set per category and can be found here: https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/help/node/topic/GRXPHT8U84RAYDXZ

2)The verification sales requires you to sell 3 items within 180 days to keep your account active

3) Not sure on this one, probably be best to add all sites showing your links to be safe

4) there used to be a plugin for WP that would change the links based on where the user was located in the world. EasyAzon I think although project seems to be abandoned

Hope this helps

Hey sorry for disturbing you but. I have another question. Do they(amazon) care about the content of the website. For example, i have some traffic but no content. Can i just add the links/banners in an empty website and just bring them sales. Is just a simple paragraph and some pictures enough? Do they care about unique content?
Thanks!

Op take the 3rd option very seriously. Add each and every site where you are going to post your links.

I think you need content, product review etc. BTW can you even get approved with blank website?

Not blank, i was just asking :D Copied content and editing and switching the words to make it unique.

Can we withdraw the money with the Amazon gift card ? And Are they want ID verification?

For worldwide traffic just use Amazons Onelink.

You should look at using geni.us for international traffic. They are a plugin that automatically fits the matching product per country visitor.

Sounds good but its too expensive for high volums. Id rather have a fixed fee
