$200/Month For FULL-TIME VA?

I was approached by a company promising to offer VAs based in Phillipines/Pakistan with graduate level english and they were trained by the company.

They were willing to be paid $200/mo for 40 hours of work per week.

Is this possible?

PS: Please no "competitor-bashing" answers from other freelancers who might get insulted by their price. I just want to know if this is economically viable and if some VAs indeed work for this amount.

What do you mean by graduate level? High-school or college? if high-school grad. then that's a good start! in take the training, take a 6months experience then leave :)
 
200$ is decent pay in india / pak / bangladesh / Philippines.
You need sweat a lot to make them understand things.

yes, that is decent pay, but getting them to work and making them understand stuff is difficult. But it's worth a try.
 
200$ is not enough for the position; though you can get some freelancer with this salary; it may differ the working speed & experience of the worker. But if you want to get hire expert then you must increase your payment.

This is not true at all you can get a lot of VA's for cheap and they could still end up doing a good job!

I personally don't like, when people say... We can pay less money to Indians, Pakistan or Bangladesh to get the hard work done.
I think people should not judge about the decent pay in individual countries. I think every outsourcer has the right to get adequate money by working as a VA (no matter where they live).

All I want them to do is respond back to my LinkedIn Inbox Leads by convincing my leads to set up a sales call with my company.

It's a messaging job.

If they speak graduate level English and I train them on how to do Appointment Setting via messaging, do you think it would work out?

Also, is this as simple as posting an ad on some freelancer site and finding candidates?
 
Converting leads to scale up your sale, is the main issue. Most of the guys at this price will not be able understand English and that's the biggest shit.
So probably they can't, until you have a robotic script.

Just clarifying - Their job is to convince leads (via messenger) to have a sales call with my USA Sales Team.

They aren't talking on the phone, just messaging.

Do you think if I looked hard enough, I could find a few people with high-level (written) english skills at this price?
 
Your best bet is to get someone from India if it's proper written English you're looking for. Most of the Indians are better in written English.
You'll get a good worker in the range of $200-300.
Folks from Philippines and Bangladesh are good in admin work.
 
You can get sparkling written English Nigerian VA s for $300 a month. I am Nigerian so I know.

You rarely will find, high level English skills.
But you can teach them a script or something and they can follow.

you are right. i also don't like judging by countries. every work has value. no matter where he come from.
