I'm just watching it play out and see what happens. Us suppliers might be the only option for now. I have a insider that told me China might ban workers till Feb 10th. Worse case scenario take the down time and learn the ins /outs of dropshipping. Google ads, pro website, video editing, photoshop and w.e skill that will help you once this stituation is figured out.

The transportation system is blocked in China. They are constructing a hospital with a capacity of 1000 beds in a week (which is almost complete). The founder of Ali express, Jack Ma, announced around 15 million USD to deal with virus. I hope that they can bring the situation under control within a week.

New Delhi: As the coronavirus scare runs across the world with one confirmed case in India, Hindu Mahasabha has proposed bizarre treatment for the dreaded virus infection.

Swami Chakrapani Maharaj, president of Hindu Mahasabha, on Friday said cow urine and cow dung can be used for treating novel coronavirus disease. He also said that a special yagna will be performed to "kill the novel coronavirus and end its effects on the world".

"Consuming cow urine and cow dung will stop the effect of infectious coronavirus. A person who chants Om Namah Shivay and applies cow dung on body, will be saved. A special yagna ritual will soon be performed to kill coronavirus," said Chakrapani.

YES. Drink cow urine and cow dung mixed weed, and stop drinking corona beer. Corona virus would be a piece of cake infront of this disease-prevention method.

My supplier said to me, he will fullfill the orders yesterday, nothing happend.
I think the problem will get bigger.

Find a new supplier because this one is directly lying to you, and you definitely don't want to do business with this kind of company. Transport is completely blocked. Even if they would pack anything - which they are not allowed to - they wouldn't be able to send anything.

I heard that it can't spread throught packages... Only with direct contact. Anyways, I'm on print in demand, so so far so good!

If this goes as predicted you will not be able to convince a customer that virus can't be spread like that.

An owner of the warehouse that I worked with for years is already expecting the worse. Apparently, the government will do anything to contain the virus and won't open the transport as long as there is a possibility to make the situation worse, so no one is expecting to start working on Feb 10th. Thanks to Chinese NY they managed to contain and prevent a disaster, and are way better prepared.

The next few months won't be dropshipping friendly, BUT at least FB ads will get cheaper with a ton of dropshippers dropping out of this platform

yeah this is what i figured. suppliers keep saying "oh feb 8-10 we will be back", but i don't believe it. pretty sure this is the start of the corona-shitstorm virus. in 6 days they will suddenly turn it around and the government will let people go back to work and open logistic companies? doubt it

it looks like we drop shippers will have to face the facts. it's no longer possible to make money aliexpress + shopify drop shipping. oh well, the quicker we get over it, the better. already i'm making plans to move onto print on demand dropshipping

Dropshippers remember it is Chinese New year so your products will arrive later than normal!!! Even without the virus.

14th February is the first working day for most people ( new year break extended by a week)

China business is totally ruined.
Every dropshipping store is disconnecting China. Even Google closed there offices. Rumours saying that real death of people due to corona is more in actual then they are showing. .
Pakistan pm says he won't allow Pakistanis to come to Pakistan from China.
India is welcoming bank Indians from China but they are keeping under inspection for atleast 2 weeks and they will release it only then after medical says they are clean.

Family member works for the NHS in the UK. Was in a ward where they were screening for it and forget the hazmat suits you see on the news - they had a whiteboard telling people not to go near it.

Within an hour staff were already wandering through the area and back into the general population of the hospital without bothering to go through decontamination.

I would not worry as much as you guys !

I really think people will be back to work 10th February (my 2 main suppliers will be able to pack the 8th), and cargo flights in the next days.

It will be too much of a loss for China to stop everything longer.

It will also be a loss for the whole world.
China is the supplier of every country.
Any longer trade stop would be synonym of worldwide economic crisis...

chinese government is insisting they will do anything they can to contain the virus. even if that means continuing to keep china on lock down

i agree, they are losing millions and millions of dollars. the virus is disrupting their entire economy. people can't trade in and out of china anymore, damaging people in china and outside of china

idk if suppliers will be back on feb 10th. that's what they say, but i'm not hopeful. i'm ready for the next delay
