Hey everyone!
So I have my Shopify store, but I don’t have any luck with payment providers. Since I live in Ukraine, I can not receive money to my paypal account, I can only send them. Tried to sign up for Skrill merchant account, but they keep ignoring me even after I messaged their support team. Stripe doesn’t work here as well:(. Not sure about 2checkout, because I saw a lot of people complaining how this payment provider works with dropshippers (of course it could be dropshippers fault) and they want documents which approve, that I am the owner of the company (do I need to register a company for dropshipping or no?). Yesterday found website called Fondy, but a bit scared to work with them after some research, many people complain about not receiving money and being blocked.
I spent time reading different dropshipping posts on BHW and saw people selling activated stripe accounts for like 300-400$. What do you guys think about it? Or maybe I should try stripe atlas? Please, share your thoughts and experiences below, i will really appreciate it.
Also, if by any chance anybody from Ukraine or Russia is here and had the same problem solved, could you share your method, please?

Thanks for reading!

Dobriy den :)

It's not that hard. Get yourself an LLC and EIN online and you would be able to register a fully legit Stripe account.

Haha, thanks for the reply;)
Do you mean stripe atlas? Because regular stripe is not supported in Ukraine (and I doubt it will be any time soon :D)

You don't have a huge choice in Ukraine. If Skrill is not working for you, you have 2co but they are not as easy as they used to be to sign up. Crypto with Coinbase Commerce but that limits you. I think you can use Alipay possibly?

Thanks for advice! I checked Alipay earlier, but for some reason in Settings/Third party providers –> Alipay has — (dash) at the place, where supported payment methods are. Is it ok?

Any foreign outside China use Alipay?
Stripe atlas will be the best choice I guess. Despite the high cost (500$) it will worth it, if everything goes well. Since my products are aimed towards US/EU customers, there is a chance, that 3rd party provider such as Alipay could scare them off. Still going to consider it, if nothing else works.

Sorry it's "As far as I know". I have seen a couple of people using it. It is not as trusted as PayPal yet unfortunately.

No, I’m talking about a regular Stripe account. Yes, it’s not supported in Ukraine, but it’s supported in USA which is why you need an LLC and EIN. Your physical location doesn’t matter here.

Did you found the perfect payment provider? if so let me know which one did you ended up using and what % of fee do they charge

Haven't found one yet, but i'll share it in this thread in case i find it! I sent all required info to Skrill and waiting for response right now. If they don't approve my store, i will consider using stripe atlas. If you have 500$ extra, i would probably recommend using it. They pretty much do all the work for you. In case you want to save these money for ads, i saw a https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/method-how-to-get-a-stripe-payment-gateway.980660/ (seems like @FUTUR TIM was talking about similar way) of how to create a normal stripe account for a non US citizen, that could help you(i'm not sure if it still works though). Check it out, one guy posted a nice video in it, that could help as well. Sadly, i can't provide any extra information for now, but i'll post all the news here.

My answer to @Media Nomads is still awaiting a moderator approval, but here’s an email from Stripe Atlas:

Hi Valentyn,

Thanks for submitting your Stripe Atlas application!

Unfortunately, we’re not currently able to support businesses with operations in certain countries - including Ukraine [1]. The definition of "operations" is quite broad, and includes the location of any owners, partners or employees.

I’m sorry we didn’t catch this before asking you to submit the full application form. We’re actively working to make Stripe Atlas available to entrepreneurs in more locations and will let you know as soon as we can include your company. However, I’m afraid that at this time we have no flexibility.

I’m sincerely sorry we aren’t able to support you with Atlas, and wish you the best of luck with your company. You won’t be charged the $500 Stripe Atlas fee.

Bruh...
Well, waiting for Skrill;)

Hello, just open a bank account with an offshore company in US or UK.
I just got a payment gateway.

All the best.
