Growing my tech blog to $5,000 per month

I've read your whole previous thread & this one and I'm so inspired by you!

Can you share a couple of tips from *where* to start a completely new blog?
What type of posts do you recommend at the beggining? What works best?
Any useful plugins expect of YOAST SEO that you can recommend?

Wishing you the best, thanks!

You got yourself a solid and realistic plan. Keep us in the loop mate!
Sure I will. Thanks for reading!

How much volume are in top 5 keywords that you re ranking #1
What do you mean by that? How many keywords that I have top 5 or #1?

Can I guest post on your site?
Sorry buddy I'm not yet accepting guest posts.

Excellent journey. Did you hire a writer ?
Nope, I write everything myself. Maybe soon.

Wow you have so much traffic but yet earn so little from it. Don't get me wrong, $1,800/mo is a nice amount to earn every month. But with 300,000 visitors? That's a ton of hard work and and long time to reach such a large amount of organic visitors. I thought if I could even get to just 30,000 visitors per month then I would be earning as much as you already.

I am curious also how is it you are only attracting developing countries? More developed countries are not searching for the keywords you are targeting?
Yeah most of my traffic is from my country (about 85%) with maybe 5% from India. It kinda sucks but it's a local tech blog. I started it to share local tech news then later on I wrote articles about online stuff for my country also, like how to apply for a passport, how to get government IDs and clearances. Lots of my countrymen search for those things. I did wrote a few articles for a global audience. When I clear my backlog of topics I will write more of those articles to get more visitors from tier 1 countries.

I’m starting the same journey as you except my goal is to hit 10,000 monthly visitors by the end of this year. I’m inspired by this thread already.

How many words per post?
And how many times do you post per week?
Thanks and good luck! I don't have any rules for how many words per article. But the longer the better. The most I wrote for an article is 4000 words.

Thanks. Glad to know that my journey inspires you.

Just get shared hosting (anything will do as you're just starting out) then install Wordpress. When it grows big move to better hosting (VPS).

Any type of post will do. I have a mix of news and tutorials. As for plugins, aside from Yoast, I use Social Network Autoposter and WP Rocket.

That's awesome. I noticed you said you used other websites you run as your backlinks. I'm assuming they are websites or websites you set up for others? Did they mind you using links on there haha?

Also like Segevushh said above, your journey is inspirational. Do you have any particular word count you stick to or do you focus on article "completion"?

Very cool to see you're not comfortable where you are as you could have easily settled to sticking with adsense instead of trying another ad platform. I will be keeping tabs on this thread for inspiration/motivation.

I wish you the best for your future ambitions, and hope you can fulfill your dreams.

Thank you. Before I started this blog, I worked as a freelance web designer. I made a bunch of websites for businessmen in my city. Obviously they don't know much about SEO so even if they notice my link they wouldn't know what effect it would have on their site. None of them asked me why I put my link in there.

Yeah I just focus on article completion, no set number of words. But I try to write as many words as I possibly can.

I was earning a pittance with Adsense. Ezoic invited me and after a lot of thinking, I gave it a try. Some of my competitors are also using Ezoic so that's one reason I went with it.

Great Journey.
Ezoic also invited me several times but I'm stick to adsense so far.

Your site in English but people come from your country mainly?

Owning a tech blog also.

How many visitors do you think a website has to reach before putting ads on it?

Thanks.

Thanks! I would have stayed with Adsense too if I was satisfied with my earnings with it.

Yes, my blog is in English. It's hard to write about technical topics using my native language.

Owning a tech blog also.

I don't know about the others but I placed Adsense from the start.

Quick question: is ezoic taking on new sites? What is the traffic minimum?

Quick question: is ezoic taking on new sites? What is the traffic minimum?

They want at least 10k monthly sessions.

Anyway OP may sound crazy. But we are using the same cloud hosting, the same ad network (Ezoic) and we are using the same strategy (Ahref competitors top pages). The only thing is that I'm making 20/30$ everyday But I'm happy as so far Ezoic is able to enhance my earnings.

What you are earning totally depends on the keywords you are targeting if you have a affiliate program which pays you $1000 per sale and you rank for a keyword which gets 100 searches per month on place one you make decent money ;)

I think they're taking in new sites as long as you meet the 10k/month traffic requirement. Hit me up and I'll connect you with my account manager so he can assist you with setting things up, if you're interested in joining.

You're using Cloudways too? Nice to know that we are on the same boat. How many times more earnings you have on Ezoic compared to Adsense?

Agree with that. Thanks for the advice.

Hmm need to consider Ezoic :) if with Adsense you had 600 usd now you have 1800 usd big difference.

Following..

I am interested to know more about eczoic..
Do you have any basis when you said it can result on 3x of your adsens income, except your own result?

They were able to multiple my earnings by 4 times. Currently need to focus on bringing more Tier 1 Traffic as i can see from my Ezoic analytics that Tier 1 traffic yelds 6$ for every 1000 visitors (EMPV).

MIght try creating a new subdomain and use that subdomain only for memes or quizzes and get traffic from social media.

Yes, I'm earning at least 3x the revenue. I love Ezoic.

Before I signed up for Ezoic, I searched for testimonies and reviews from other users. All of them claimed that they earned at least double what they used to earn from Adsense. I had nothing to lose so I signed up to see if it's true.

If you're interested, I can hook you up with my account manager and he'll help you set up everything. Because setup is quite complicated at first.

Hi, I believe that approved the new sites only if you have adsense.
That's true.

That's good to hear. Good luck!

How many traffic do you have from Tier 1 countries per day.
As you say you have around 10k unique visitors per day so how many is from tier1?

10K monthly sessions? Do you mean VISITS or page views?
