I have a youtube account that is about 10 years old. It's my main account and I've never used it to monetize until 2018 when I realized I was eligible to become a partner since I had over 1,000 subscribers
and over 4,000 watched hours. After I became approved and started monetizing my videos, I've been making a few bucks off my channel ($20/month on average). Nothing big. Just good ol' fun and make some pocket change while doing it.

I have other youtube accounts that I have created over the past few years and none of them are associated or linked to my main account. They were just mule accounts for commenting and such.

I decided to try an experiment where I targeted a specific niche (very popular and trendy right now). The content is not my own. I've simply taken the content from the "trendy niche" and re-edited myself and uploaded my version. It literally takes me only 15 minutes to make a video.

Well lo and behold, just a couple weeks into it and I went from less than 15 subs to now well over 3000+ subs and the rate is increasing exponentially still. It shouldn't take me long to get to 10k+ My video also went from 20k views to 80k views to 150k views in just a week and my other videos I uploaded are following suite.

My main account took over 10 years just to get 3k subs and this experiment youtube channel has over 3k in just a couple weeks. I'm blown away by this.

My obvious question now is, am I able to monetize on this channel without risking or jeopardizing my main account? Can I add this experiment youtube channel to my main youtube channel to become monetized or do I have to completely apply for a brand new adsense account with all new information (no using my same name, address and bank account?). I know that you are not allowed to have multiple adsense accounts so my concern is if I link this experiment channel to my main youtube account (linked to my only adsense account), am I jeopardizing possibly losing my main account if this experiment account should become flagged down the line? As I said, the content is not mine. I'm simply ripping it off of other content creators and re-editing it and none of the videos have been copyrighted yet and it's been weeks. So I think I can keep doing this and make big money off it until somebody either notifies the original content creator or the original content creators themselves discover their content being used to make money. If my experiment youtube account gets monetization suspended, will that also suspend my main youtube account?

I think you can start monetizing the videos, but you may get a strike from Youtube for the resources that were not yours. It could be either Youtube or the actual owner who will report it.
Monetization suspension doesn't always come with account suspension, unless you violated the TOS in large scale. Sometimes they just disable monetizaion on one/several videos.
 
are you uploading on avengers niche becuase videos are getting millions views in 3-4 days for example

 
Your main channel will not get affected. Your adsense might, but very unlikely.
 
Enjoy it while you can, you will get demonetized sooner or later
 
No not avengers stuff, but that is obviously a very viral thing these days!
I'm not getting monetization on this experiment channel yet. I'm just not sure if it's something I should link to my main account or if I could risk getting my main account de-monetized as well if one of my other channels was de-monetized or suspended (you know, 'guilty by association' kinda thing).

I'm just surprised that I was able to use the original contents and not get a copyright strike (yet) for my rehashed videos. I guess as long as the original creator did not copyright their content, anyone is free to download their videos and re-edit it to your liking and re-upload it and turn a profit until they decide to copyright it. Basically then, the content is "creative commons".

I just don't know how serious it is or not if one channel is suspended or flagged or de-monetized and how it could affect my main account? I'm coming from an ebay perspective cuz as a seller on ebay, if you have linked your account to suspended or banned account, your new account will also get suspended/banned so they judge you guilty by association.

I don't know if youtube is that harsh or not? Is it worth the risk to make a quick buck depending on how long this lasts? Is there no other way for me to open another separate account to get paid without linking it to my main account? Or how about if I just open a patreon or similar type donations account and ask people to send donations to that account if they want to support me to continue making these vids? Does patreon allow this? Can people donate to me without seeing my personal information (like real name, address, etc?).
 
Unless the content is really copyrighted aka from a major TV network or business typically music, then you would most likely only get a copyright claim. This just means any money that you make would go to the original creator. It's fairly rare to get a copyright strike unless you are doing something fairly illegal like posting the entire Detective Pikachu movie or something.

Fortunately it is not from a major TV network or any major studio/label/company/brand etc. It's just from another individual creator.
 
Should I use Patreon and/or Paypal (business account)?
I already created a patreon account but not sure if I set it up correctly. It's all approved and published right now but I think the only way for people to pay is to "pledge" a certain amount of $ per month. Isn't there an option where they can just pay a one-time gift?

Also, I don't want the patrons (supporters) when pledging or sending me money to see my real name and address / info. I read that paypal business account won't allow people to see your info other than your business name, is this correct?
 
Whats the niche? youtube is unpredictable so you gotta monetise whatever you can until you get hit. i don't think you'll be approved, it will be a NO based on you ripping others' contents. Called 'reused content' on rejection

is he reviewing or talking / commentary on videos he ripped? if no, he will not be approved. You cant just rip peoples videos off, join them together and expect to make money. Nothing original in that. Back in the old youtube days u could, not anymore.

Yes, I am not reviewing or speaking in it. All I'm doing is re-editing the videos in a way that is more efficient and better for the viewers and they all love me and thank me for it as I'm getting 300,000 views now in just a couple weeks with thousands of comments, likes and the majority of commenters appreciate and love my work as it saves them a ton of grief and time since I'm making it more efficient.

I do understand that this may still be "reused content" and may not be approved for monetization when I reach the eligibility threshold in the next few days. I'm almost there
and I just started uploading these videos a couple weeks ago. My question is not about whether what I am doing is monetizable or not. I don't care. It's an EXPERIMENT.

I just want to know if I try to monetize it using the same personal information that is linked to my main youtube account, if that could get me suspended or de-monetized on my MAIN account which has nothing to do with this experiment account. If they want to copyright strike my experiment channel, NO PROBLEM. My life will go on and I can make many more experiments. They certainly shouldn't ban or suspend my channel because it's nothing but simply re-editing material in my own way to make it more efficient so if anything, the worst is that I can't be monetized but the channel and my videos can stay up and keep getting views.

That's why I'm asking, should I try and set up a patreon or business paypal account to get paid if anyone wanted to sponsor or donate to me for my work even though Youtube (if) declines partnership due to "reused content".

If I have 3 or 4 youtube channels all linked to the same personal information for payout, and let's say one of the channels gets de-monetized for copyright/reused content, does that risk ALL my channels via guilty by association?
 
Could you please give me a hint about what this niche is? It's amazing how you got that many views without promoting your videos.

Thanks, yes I, too was quite amazed. It really just takes people to share the videos for it to go viral. Once it spreads like a wildfire, the snowball effect just multiplies and once it hits viral status, it'll show up near the top of the searches results or show up in people's recommendation list who are watching similar type videos.

I will be more than glad to share my results AFTER my experiment has concluded. I've been permitted to apply for youtube partnership just yesterday, I'm literally
about 1 day away from 4,000 watched hours now. I have submitted approval for monetization and linked it to my main youtube account and adsense account.
We'll see if I get approved for monetization and/or how it affects my main account if it should be disapproved or even something worse. I'm taking the risk! I just have to know
what happens, haha.

BTW, even without telling you the specific niche I chose to experiment on, it applies to EVERYTHING. If you just do some simple searches and browsing around youtube, you'll start to discover certain niches or trends that are viral and hitting it big and with a little creativity, you can easily try and imitate, emulate, copy, use the same principles, etc., and reproduce similar results albeit not as good as the original creators (in most cases). The real sad part about all this is youtube/social media/monetization is in a period of infancy right now. This is a short window that is open (a decade or two) of almost anyone with even zero skills to just make money online. Soon, it won't be like this. It won't be so easy for anyone to just post whatever they want and make money. It will turn into a very lucrative and competitive industry ONLY for those with very high-end professional-level skills/talents/technical-know-how to be able to make money online. Right now, the internet and social media is still in it's infancy experimental stage.
It is the so-called "Gold Rush" of our generation. One day our grand kids will ask what we were doing during this gold rush era and why we didn't cash in and take what we could while it was free to be had. So this is me just trying to get a piece of the pie in this gold rush era. I'm still trying to learn about other methods but I'm so behind on this technology stuff it's moving so fast I can't keep up....i'm only into youtube and ebay online selling....I haven't even begun to understand how to make money on facebook ads, instagram, twitter, blogs sites, apps, you name it....it's just crazy out there. You have people making money just eating in front of a camera, people just unboxing stuff they bought, people doing nothing but studying in a cafe or reading a book and getting bank, people travelling the world and eating different foods and making bank, people playing videos games and just posting it online or live streaming video games and they make bank, the list is endless....you can do almost anything as long as there is an audience and you can make bank, there's literally an infinite amount of ideas out there all with the potential to make you money....the silliest stuff..... but how long will all this last? With A.I. around the corner, the fun will end for the masses, while the fun will only get better for the advantaged. A.I. is the game changer.

I think you're absolutely right about YouTube/Streaming and the internet, in general, being the gold rush of our era. It's definitely possible to make a great deal of money with very little skill as long as you can create a following which seems to be the hardest thing to do at the moment for me. I have some decent videos that try to emulate what other popular creators are doing in a niche that isn't very saturated, but I'm having a lot of difficulties getting recommended on YouTube which is I was definitely motivated by your story getting so many views and subs in a short period of time.
 
Anyone hoping to make quick bucks if you already have a monetised channel, just do TRENDING topics. Thats about as fastest as you can get to making quick bucks. Nice edititng on trending topics. These days its important to speak / commentary otherwise if its just a bunch of random videos you may get demonetised,/ may not be approved for moentisation.
