Hi, I'm close to 28 and nowadays I think that I don't have many years left. I have to live my life quickly. Nowadays I just think that I'm going to get old and get sick and such.

A bit of background: I'm trying to make a breakthrough in the I.M which is why I don't go out.

My daily routine: I wake up, go out for coffee and then immediately come back and I start working. Afternoon, I go out for lunch and then come back and work. Evening I go out for tea and come back for work and again go out at night for dinner and then back in front of laptop. That's all. I sometimes feel very very alone and I almost start crying for being alone and just want someone to pull me aside and tell me that its gonna be alright.

When I go outside in the morning, noon, evening, night for eating, I see tons of young people of my age and beyond are just laughing and talking and having fun with friends on the street. Everyone seems so accomplished.

I'm thinking to start some physical activities like in the gym for abt an hr early in the morning to see if it helps or not. But seriously can anyone here relate to my thing?

And what is your daily routine? What activities do you do?

With 28 you're already old. As far as your feeling of death is concerned, I know many people who feel that way. It's mostly caused by stress or a missing feeling of accomplishment, like you have to hurry up because you look back at your life and there's nothing significant to be seen (yet).
Physical activities would definitely help you. Also, work smart not overly hard. It's stupid to push against a wall the entire day when the door is right next to it.

I don't have a daily routine, I just do what I want with some work thrown in there.

28 is not old man. What are you talking about?

Please don't say 28 is old, I am 49 and would give my left testicle to be 28 again.

Do you. If your passion is entrepreneurship or IM, do that. I've spent countless of nights alone, in front of the computer while my friends are out partying or traveling, and sure enough I've questioned myself. Fast forward to today and I'm the only one with a house, no loans, big savings and not having to worry - while all of them plan their day and budget to the T, work jobs they hate and feel miserable.

Things will catch up. Don't compare yourself to others, as you're doing your own race.

28 is old. Everything after 27 is. At 50 you're becoming ancient.
Of course you can have your own opinion. But that's just how I look at it.

Interested in how you found 27 to be the turning point? I know 60 year olds who would put 20 year olds to shame(how much they work). So, I feel like your logic is flawed.

I can relate a bit to your situation. But you don’t have to force it. I’m also about the same age and feeling like i’m getting old. I guess we just have to deal with it and try to improve our lives/relationships ;)

Anyone would feel like they were dying with that schedule. When do you ever do anything fun? If you're having trouble finding the right work-life balance, schedule yourself time off to do specific things. Go to concerts or whatever you like to do. Consider it an investment in yourself. If you let this feeling become overwhelming, you will burn out and your business might go under.

I regard people of 28 as youngsters. I guess everyone's opinion varies depending on their age. Are you younger than 28?

Chill out man. 28 is very young. Get a pet and care for it. The responsibility and satisfaction from caring for another being will help a lot.
I so want to get a kitten especially a munchkin cat but I only have one fear and that is they will poop and piss anywhere in the room and when I go out, they may jump to the table and damage my laptop and other stuffs haha. I am a crazy cat boy. Before I go out in the evening, I play with one of my flat mate's cat everyday. That cat is very friendly. :)

Thank you. I very much needed to hear that. I feel a bit relaxed. :)

By the way, what is "T" in this context? :p

Thank you all for the support and clearing the way I look at things. :)

Random people as well as my friends advise me to have fun. I look at these guys with their girls and I think I'm also their age and I'm never going to get this time back ever. Then immediately on the second thought, I think they will settle with them after spending and wasting so much time and energy. On the other hand, I am trying to make a name for myself. Then I won't have to run behind girls like 90% of the boys do. Girls will run after me. :D

Also I have monetary issues. I think monetary issues account for 50% of these stress and weird thoughts.

Do any of you were extra cautious and had money issues when you were starting out? I dont eat at restaurants. I dont eat expensive foods. I like coffee very much but I had to cut down to two cups per day. I am trying to be more careful with money because I have startup fund issue. I struggle to pay rent. I mean I pay within 1-1.5 weeks late than the date of agreement every month and the landlord almost cries and insults me to pay her by the time. I beg her to consider at least 1-1.5 weeks for me every month and she is so annoying. People NEVER understands other problem.

See the thing is they have two children. This is the way I look at things: If you dont have money, then dont give birth. Because in this way, you are about to ruin your child's life. First be financially secured and then plan child. Medical store is always there. I'm being practical here. Of course I'm NO one to say such personal things to them because it's their own matter. I just want her to consider a bit of time every month. The rent causes me 60% of the stress.

Is there any of you here in BHW, who had like absolutely ZERO money when you started and then actually made it and now is stable with money? How and what did you do to arrange a bit of money to start out? I'm not able to do any offline jobs because I am not that educated.

man you are just like me, i know how it's feel, my routine is same like you but you have to take some bold decision to make your lifestyle better. no one can help you and no one will tell you that do some physical activities because no one care about you. So do it for yourself. join gym and talk to random people without anyone knowing them. make them surprise, do some insane talk and moves and you will feel better.

Of course they crap eveywhere if you don't train them. That's all part of it.

Many dedicated a day or two a week to just going out and having a laugh with friends

I've been where you are. There are a few things I did that changed everything for me, and the gym is one of those things (definitely the most important one). Getting a dog would be helpful as well.

You should have working hours or at least the time when you stop working no matter what. If you feel like you can't handle 7 days per week work, you should have 1 day off per week. On the other hand, if you feel that you can work for 7 days every week, you need to take short vacations from time to time to avoid burning out. When you take the day off or you go on vacation, get yourself away from your laptop and your phone and enjoy the outside or socialize with other people. When I go on a vacation, I have my phone turned off for 23 hours every day and I try to spend as much time outside as possible. Same goes for days off.

Try to prioritize and do things that matter the most (work related) first, and then if you have time left do other low priority work. Set your goals and try to figure out a str8 plan that will get you where you want to be.

Meditation also helps a lot. 10-15 mins per day are quite enough.

Try to engage in some social activities at least twice per week. This depends on your interests but there are a huge variety of things you can do. If you don't have a GF/wife try some dating apps, or try flirting with the girls you stumble upon when you go to coffee/breakfast/lunch/dinner.

But once again working out is IMO the most important thing you should implement right away, that alone will help you a ton.

My daily routine:
- Wake Up 6 AM (When 2019 begins I'm going to start waking up at 5)
- 6 - 6:30 Morning routine (When I wake up I jump out of bed and do a light stretching for 5-10 mins, then I get dressed, make up my bed, take a piss, wash my teeth, drink two cups of water and meditate for 10 mins)
- 6:30 - 7 I take my dog out for a walk
- 7 - 7:30 I drink coffee and listen to some relaxing music
- 7:30 - 8 My GF comes over and we chat a bit
- 8 - 9:30 I'm at a gym (4 times per week on off days I go for an hour-long walk instead)
- 9:30 - 10 After gym stretching and cold shower
- 10 - 10:30 Breakfast
- 10:30 - 11 I make myself another cup of coffee, check social media for about 10-15 mins and review my schedule and to-do list
- 11- 2:30 Work on the most important things (I use pomodoro technique and that's about 6 pomodoros)
- 2:30 - 3 Lunch
- 3 - 7PM Work (About 7 pomodoros)
- 7 - 10 Misc Time (I go out for a drink with friends, hand out with my GF, watch some TV show, watch some YT videos or anything else I also have a dinner sometime in between)
- 10 - 10:15 Shower
- 10:15 - 11 PM I read a book (I lay down in my bed and read a book till 11 PM then I go to sleep)

Since I'm doing a Pomodoro (25 mins intensive work 5 mins off) when I have a 5 min break I usually check social media, check if someone called me or texted me etc. This and the 10-15 mins in the morning are the only times I check on social media and my phone in general.

On Sundays I usually have a day off, use this time to hang outside, go to a one-day city break, etc... I also use Sundays to schedule my week, write a weekly overview and to work on my passion project. Or anything else I feel I want to do.
When I feel I'm going to burn out if I continue with my routine (usually happens every 3-4 months) I go on a vacation and the only thing I keep from my routine while I am on vacation is the workout and meditation.

I hope you will find this helpful (or someone else).

Btw I'm 26 and I don't think you are old.
