Hello and welcome to my journey. In this journey, I will try reaching my goal of 100$/day and maybe go even further, only the time will tell.
This journey was started around 6 months ago and these are the first websites I have created, but have gone through a domain change and other different big changes to the sites so the traffic has been fluctuating a bit. A lot of mistakes have been done on the way but the most of them should be fixed right now. I have done some backlinks to one of the sites, but not a massive amount.

Site 1:
This site is meant to be a big authority site and it contains a lot of information content and a few review articles. This site went through a domain change a month ago so the traffic has not been rising a lot yet, still have a lot of link building to do with the new domain. The article amount will stay stable for a while but will be trying to publish some 1-2 articles per month to keep it updated. A lot of these articles are outsourced.
The most of the traffic is going to the informative articles, that's why the earnings are pretty low for the traffic.

Stats:
  • 180 articles published, 160x ~ 1000-2000 words information articles and 20 review articles of ~4000 words each.
  • Traffic: 250-300 visitors /day ~150-240 from google search
  • Earnings: 70$ / Month~ from Amazon

Site 2:
This site is newly created and I'm only going to publish review articles like "Best of". The total amount of articles are going to be 10-15 and then slowly publish 1-2 per month after that. This site is created to test out really long articles with high-quality content and a few posts. Haven't built any links to this site yet and I'm going for some bigger keywords with over 1500 searches per month.

Stats:
  • 3 articles published. ~6000 words each
  • Traffic: 0-5 visitors /day
  • Earnings: 0$ /Month

Both of the sites are pretty SEO Optimized imo from what I've learned from reading a lot for over a year on the internet.

To do next:
  • Create a Press-Release for both of the sites in about 1-2 weeks for diversity links
  • Create & Publish ~6-8 more 6000-word articles to site #2.
  • Build links to both of the sites slowly. Will build some diversity links to the homepages first and then go for more links to the articles/posts. (I'm open to recommendations of where to get good links)
  • When the site 2 is ready, I will probably go and build another site.

I will try to update once a week with the earnings and the traffic to each site. If there is not a lot to report, I will wait with the updates to the next week. The site 2 will probably take a while to get things going with.

I created this journey to store some statistics over my sites and share the journey with you. I hope you enjoy it and if you have any questions, let me know! I'm pretty new to this world and would love all your suggestions.

I will keep an eye on your site 2. Good luck buddy!

Will be doing a Press Release for both of the sites tomorrow or sunday. I hope to get some nice quality backlinks with diversity to the homepage of the sites. Currently I have a very few links to the homepage, so I think this is really needed! Let's see how it goes :)

Nice journey. Are you writing all of that content yourself?

Good luck.

Looks good. What were your mistakes, btw? Good luck! :)

Some common SEO issues made where I was very new to it. Really bad WordPress theme, bad content structure and a lot of thin content pages. But you learn from time and I think the current setup should be good to go with now! We'll see :D

Nice journey. Are you writing all of that content yourself?

Good luck.

Thanks! Around 50% of the content is outsourced.
I have worked with the niche I'm writing about as my job for over 10 years, so the information is really great but English is not my native language, so I'm outsourcing a lot of the content.

Holly shit that’s a lot of content you have. gl buddy :)

160 article is a lot ! how much you pay per word ?

Thanks, yes let's hope it will rank also!

It looks good. How old are your websites. Good luck.
Website 1 is over 6 months, but the most of the content has recently been added within the last 3 months
Website 2 is under a month old and all the content is not added yet, hope to get all the content up within 2-3 weeks :)

I'm paying around 10-12$ / 1000 words. Not native English writers, but good enough for the website.

Nothing awesome news to report right now, things are growing slowly.
Site 1 is slowly raising in serp, nothing awesome tho. But now, my site nr 2 is focused to start growing it.

For site 2 I have now 6x 6000-7000 words articles published, waiting for 3 more the coming days.
Have done a press release + some web 2.0's and will start outreaching other bloggers slowly since the domain is pretty new.
However, the site is starting to rank for a lot of keywords so this will be interesting to follow. The domain is old but without any strengthed backlinks, so I have no idea about the sandbox really! :D

If you are a blogger with any affiliate sites, I would love to discuss some links between the sites etc!

The traffic is slowly growing to site 1, around 350 visitors a day now. However have to figure out a way of how to monetize that traffic correctly, cause the most traffic is coming from informative articles and I'm only doing Amazon links and Amazon native ads. Have to start fixing the bounce rate also, but it's hard with these kinds of information articles when the user is only looking for a fast answer and then leave. A lot lower on the buyer keywords.

Site 2 is still new and pretty dead, hoping it to start getting some traffic soon because have got some homepage links and web 2.0's to it. Will update when the traffic starts coming in!

Good luck on your journey! Here's what cought my attention so far:

Did you do the press release yourself or did you use a service? How was the impact, did you get any results from it (backlinks, rankings, mentions, etc.)?

I suggest you look into display ads that you can add to your information articles (Adsense/Ezoic). Make sure that you place one right below your first paragraph. What you could do as well is search for information products that offer additional information to your article and try to upsell them to your audience.

If you are a blogger with any affiliate sites, I would love to discuss some links between the sites etc!

I've built a couple affiliate website (and sold some of them). If you want to discuss something in more detail, send me a message.

Did u buy pbn for site 1?

I bought some cheap PBN links from fiverr earlier, they were toxic though, because the traffic flew up when I disavvowed them and the given pages were tanked when I had them. So right now, I have no PBN links :)

Good luck on your journey! Here's what cought my attention so far:

Thanks for your suggestions. I did the press release with the hoth and submitted some of them myself. The results were great because I got a lot of both ******** and nofollow links from both high authority and low authority sites!. The rankings are hard to say anything about, because did a lot of changes after that like disavvowed some cheap PBN links and the traffic flew up on site 1 after that.

I think the press release was great for my new site 2, which did not have any links at all almost. I did the press release to my homepage only to get some links to it and some authority!.

I have tried Adsense, which didn't get me that much money. Probably because I'm no expert in setting up the ads haha. Heard of better networks that I would like to join, but need 80k pageviews a month so I may just have to wait a bit :D

Here is a report of the last 7 days, got some high priced products, which can give me a lot of money just if I'm getting some sales. Nowadays I get some orders a day but mostly lower-priced products. I think because I'm using native ads and product links (Text) in the informative articles, I get a pretty low conversion rate and a lot of clicks. Have a lot to work there.

Getting ready to start my journey as well. Whats your link building plan?

Good luck!

don't you think amazon native adds look a little spammy on the website? Just curious. I personally only have links, not even buttons, so it doesn't scream "affiliate".

However, I may be wrong. How are they doing for you?

I also have a lot of just informative articles and get most of my traffic going to them. I am thinking that native adds may actually fix the issue, but again, don't want it to look to spammy.

Thoughts?

For the new site, starting with Press release and web 2.0's with tier links. Probably going to add some diversity links to it also soon :D

Probably they do, the native ads are adding around 20% of the sales for me, and I haven't found any good alternative to this yet. But I'm sure I will do soon :D
