Bad Luck : what should i do now ?

Hey guys

One week ago i was scrapping some old posts from archive of a blog which droped in 2017,2018 .. i found a droped blog which is full of good unique content so i decided to use it's posts for one of my sites i go on and copied,schudule ..etc but yesterday i surprised that the site got online again and the owner decided ( after 2 years ) to rebuild the site with the same posts and the same name .. now when i search for site:olddomain.com i don't find indexed pages except about 3 posts indexed .

Now should i delete the copied posts from my site and also the scheduled ones ?

Will google count the posts for me or for him ?

N:B He changed the link structure from .html to p=xxx

I would be more concern with the possibility that he/she may file a DMCA against you. That is if he or she is an experienced and serious webmaster/marketer who frequently does copyscape checks and what not.

If you want to try your luck you can just leave it up for the time being. And see if his/her revived posts will outrank you or not.

But remember there's a possibility he/she may file a DMCA report and your article posts links will get removed by Google with that message:

About DMCA : i think he wouldn't apply although the site language isn't english and i don't think he knows about this

I want to try my luck but his posts date is xx/xx/2015, xx/xx/2016 will it be useful for him to rank better ?
 
Well, is your current website a long-term thingy and you're serious to build it till it becomes an authority website? If yes, then I would suggest like what kirshnaverma said and delete them.

If it is just some churn-and-burn or short-term project website that you didn't invest much time or money, then just leave it and see how it goes. But since you've stated his posts date still show its original post date and all, then very likely Google will show preference to his/hers. Ultimately, it is 'wait and see' approach.

Alternatively, the half-half way would be to hire a writer or you write some new paragraphs and insert into them. Ha!
 
I would also suggest deleting them and putting the whole ordeal behind you. However, you can also try to rewrite the content, if you’re determined to keep your posts while also avoiding the original owner filing a DMCA against you.
 
What about rewrite all of the posts by adding paragraphs to them as Sophie said but to remember that all the posts has published so if i edit them now is it will be ok ?
 
how do you know that the current owner is the orginal owner ? if it's just someone that buys the domain then he doesn't have right on the expired content only the domain name.

This - Lots of people buy expired domains to rebuild them for PBN usage etc. To be on the safe side, rewriting the content would be a decent idea though.
 
Sorry if this out of topic, but how do you scrape this blog/website, using tool or online website or script maybe?
 
Did you add canonical tags? If not, you might be okay.

Was it your pages that got deindexed? or are his not indexed?

If yours are indexed before his, Google will automatic validate yours as the original content. Regardless if he posted it two years ago.

Would Google still not see the content as belonging on the original site?

I found a chunk of great content 18 months ago, but the first 10 articles had all been used on a new site after checking Copyscape.
What I did though was bought the domain and repopulated all the content. Site is ranking, no penalties or warnings.

That’s the question, we don’t know. Screaming Frog did a case study and showed, no it doesn’t still belong to the original site.

Btw, they outranked Google for their own keyword.

How he/she will proof that posts (articles) are from him/her? Because they are the owner of domain that doesn't mean the posts are from they, maybe they did what the OP did, copy from other website offline and published them. Who ensures that their articles are from them? They need to proof that before sending DMCA.

"I will send DMCA because, this guy copied from my blog articles" I still asking who ensures that articles is 100% of they? They need to have any proof. Sending DMCA is a serious question.

If he/she is unable to proof that, the OP can go to court if he want to sue them for invalid DMCA report.

*The only way, would be to prove that he bought the items from someone, or if she/he have a registered trademark

Domain age = 5 years
Not an auction domain because i scrapped much more to know the old owner and he is the same on whois

That is why stealing content and looking for free ones paid for by others isn't the way to do business online.
