I had an old amazon associates account laying around that I haven't used in 10 months, so I tried the reddit Twitter method. I started last week and been making a few bucks every day. An hour ago, I got this email stating they closed my account:

"Because you are not in compliance with the Operating Agreement, Amazon will not pay you any outstanding advertising fees related to your account. Amazon exercises its right under the Operating Agreement to withhold fees based on violations, which include the following:

-You are referring traffic from a site that is not your Site. You must be an administrator, moderator or owner of a subreddit to post links.

-The information in your application, such as your email address, mailing address, and/or the list of Sites you are using to drive traffic to Amazon is not accurate.

-The sources of your traffic are obscured in such a way that we cannot reasonably determine on what Site(s) your Special Links are displayed."

This sucked...just a head up if anybody else is trying the reddit twitter method...

same thing. believe me, i tried everything, I talked to them but there's no way that they reactivate your account or pay you your balance money. sad story.

You did spam and even didn't fake or hide referrer, they detect your spam. Amazon is right. Next time be smarter.

Yea, it would be nice if they at least pay us the balance we earned! They did use our leads and made money off of it too.

Sure I did spam, but to them...I only posted it only my Twitter account and my followers clicked the link. Also, amazon did end up making the sales, so now they just make even more now from not paying me. It sucks, but nothing I can do about it.

You should use spacer between user <-> amazon. Your real site that they want. Use html redirect technique for example, the simplest. And set this meta

HTML:
<meta name="referrer" content="origin-when-cross-origin"/>

They will see only your site domain in referrer, and no questions to you. Of course, better setup fake affiliate website to be complete calm.

Since you are not posting amazon links directly on reddit, how can they ban you.As per amazon you can post on social accounts like Twitter.

I think it was because I used an old amazon account that was meant for my blog site, and that blog site ended up expiring. I never renewed the domain.

My own method, I never bought that method here.

Basically, you use twitter links that won't get blocked by reddit and other sites to place your aff link that way.

I have 11 orders which have all been delivered and they still say don't say shipped.

Basically, I had a friend do it with a bunch of stuff. I was just testing this out and it doesn't even work

Damn! Is Amazon following Clickbank's footstep. As we know, clickbank is the master at ghosting sales. I had my share of good days with Amazon back in the days when kindle used to sell like hot pancakes. But google algorithms got the better of me. From earning thousands/month to literally nothing within few days. Don't rely completely on Amazon earnings.

many people is doing reddit + twitter method, but usually no gets banned from amazon

Amazon doesn't like you pushing traffic to specific pages/posts, even using ways that don't violate their TOS. I had a deals site that was making me a mint by pushing traffic to the homepage and letting people find their own way around my site. But soon as I started pushing traffic to specific pages about specific products, they shut it down quick. Amazon is bullshit. Their TOS means nothing they just make up rules as they go along but don't add the new rules to the TOS. They're so huge now that they don't need affiliates so they don't care anymore.
