Don't you think that BHW needs an app?

I feel a need for BHW to develop an app for both android and iOS as its the largest IM forum. An app would make it much easier for people to browse through the forum.

Thread moved. Although, this has been asked many times and I don't believe its likely to happen because BHW moved away from apps quite some time ago in favour of a responsive design.

I must admit I was a fan of what I think was the original app (tapatalk) but now I have become very used to using the mobile site which is essentially a web app in itself. Its really easy to get onto the site, its easy to browse and reply and the great thing about having a responsive site rather than a native app is that you know everything is available from mobile - whereas invariably with apps you lose some functionality.

Well may be, but it involves unnecessary cost. BHW works good enough for me on my android. There is one annoying glitch though. If I click (touch) on an embedded image in any post, the image gets zoomed and the whole site becomes pretty small. There is no apparent way to go back to the bigger view from there ( may be I missed something). Otherwise, it works great.

An app reduces functionality we decided to go with responsive design as it allows the majority of the regular functionality without loss in performance.

The mobile version of Xenforo is quite nice. I don't really think an app is needed.

Real BHers don't use APP

If a site is responsive then no native app is needed.
And if you want some native functionality, turn into a PWA (easy fix using manifest.json)
