The articles may be reviewed at any time but not on submission. If your article is quality it will stay and yes, they have to be relevant to the featured categories.

Only a few days mate. Some guy tried selling me a "Guest Post" on it for $50 - Asked him for a sample post and upon loading the site I was already logged in to Microsoft and saw I could in-fact post my own article. Saving $50
