Godaddy Stole my $60k valued domain

These fucks stole my domain today, it was not expiring and i went to add something to it about 20mins ago it boom it points to there damn fuckin domain landing page.

I swear i just emailed them, they may step up and hurry before i take major legal action.

Never trust a fucking domain registrar. Or Godaddy for that matter.

We need an update. Did you give those ass holes hell? Did they even try to do the right thing and return your domain?

I tried to transfer 2 domains from them and they were denied. I will not renew them. It pisses me off one was my wifes name. so no one will get it if it expires. I just have family picks on the domain.

I will not buy anything else from them

I would never trust Go Daddy with anything. They lure people in with their cheap prices on purpose. While I am sure that the mixup of your domain name was incidental moreso than it was on purpose you can never be too careful. It doesn't seem like domain name companies are getting a good name for themselves lately, Net Solutions ring a bell?

I register my domains with webcity.com.au. I live in Australia btw. And although it does cost like $12AUD to register a .com it's well worth it, I've never had a problem with them and to my knowledge nobody else has either.

sometimes domain and hosting compnay makes this mistakes. hostgator suddenly shut my hosting down.and i lost almost 300 $ in a day. cuz i earn almost 200-300 usd in a day from my site. 3/4 days later they fixed my hosting.

Well when you're a large scale popular hosting company you shouldn't be making mistakes like that in the first place, it's very unprofessional.

I will only use Namecheap from now on. I have some domains at Godaddy, but all my newer ones are with Namecheap. I have also heard that they are not to quick to shut your domain down if there are complaints. They will listen to your side.

That happens everywhere. It happened to me with 1&1. I tried to register a very good dot com domain name and they delaied me saying they have a delay in billing. What crap is that!? This is bullshit, as we all know it very well. They steal these domains, keep them for themselves and sell it later for a gross price like 100k or something like because it's a good domain name. Harro's has traffic and pr so they make alot more money than with a good unregistered domain name.
Harro I recommend going to bbb.org and file a complaint, your problem will be solved.
If in a couple of days I don't get my domain registered I plan to do the same thing.

Granted I can tell you all the things I hate about them...with Bob Parson's monopolistic and greedy point of view for something he stumbled on. (like ebay) - (if you question you realize they are the largest registrar with over 19 million registered domains. Do you known what happens when they raise the prise even $1? - Well prices went up immediately after the super bowl commercials ...I am sure some hot shot CFO thought that would offset costs.) ..........ANYWAY...

I am mot saying that they didn't F you.

What I am saying is I have never had a problem on this end I have about 1k with them.
In fact ... mine expire all the time and I am aware of it renew them while they are expired.

Here's how:

You have the expiration date ... you get notices via email at 90 days, 60 days, 30, 15, 10 and 5. Then the name expires at which point you have 17 more days to renew while expired before it goes to redemption.

Even in redemption you have time to renew until the day 45. While in redemption you pay $80 for the same renewal that would have cost you the regular annual rate, but this is very worth it if the name has significant value.

It actually used to be $150 but as of April 1st thats the only thing I have seen them lower price-wise. Also, as of April 1st the final expiration (before it goes into redemption) is now 21 days vs. the 17.

I am very versed on this as it the nature of my biz.

After the final redemption .... it goes to the aftermarket for auction. (tdnam.) If nobody snags it from the auction it gets released back into the pool of available names.
