suspect click bank shaves

One of my small projects involves promoting Clickbank products and I had been following this thread and followed one of @ClickbankGal approach - changing of hoplinks.

What I did notice is there are some products which I never made a sale for a long time and they suddenly started coming in after making the change. By "long time" I meant like months. Not much, but surprising to say the least. Perhaps I ended up in the 1-2% error margin. Or maybe it is just all coincidence because, as one of the rules stated in Economics, correlation doesn't imply causation.

But if you want to be on the safe side, I would advice changing hoplinks periodically.

Thanks OP for highlighting this matter.

as said early in thread it does improvement but can also be due to sale period. so this cannot confirm.

Im not convinced you have a shaving issue. The downturn you experience on that monday could well be down to external factors resulting in less sales. Holidays, good weather, time of month (ref peoples pay dates etc) all result in reduced sales for certain niches

hi fellow bhwers

i have lurk and read many threads in click bank section. there were posts about people posting about click bank shaving and i did not believe at first but now i am beginning to believe they system having bugs or spoil

on monday Jul 24 my traffic is the same as any other day. very targetted traffic and in fact many more hops and order form impressions but wtf only 2 sale on that date. something very wrong.
Nah, I am 99% sure they don't shave. Reason? Because they are billion dollar company, they really don't care about your $200. :) When they click on your affiliate link, pixel launches and they give you your %. So there is not really space for mistake. Maybe Im wrong, just my 2 cents.

see it happens again... account 2 drastic drops. i check analytics and all my campaigns traffic were same and constant. i actually ask one click bank vendor in my country about this issue and discuss with her and she told me something a bit shocking.... she say sometimes super affiliate will help promote her offers (yoga)... she notice there are few time that in transaction page the super affiliate get credited for sale but a few time it doesnt credited so she get full commission of affiliate sale (75%). but this happen at low rate... like maybe 100 sale, just 2 sale would not be credited to affiliate correctly. she say this may due to click bank tracking issue or tracking system spoil... if not antispyware program like spybot blocking click bank cookies.

so conclusion is click bank do not shave. but is tracking system issue. but the tracking issue not as bad as assumed. error margin rate of 1-2%. antispyware program like spybot got monitoring feature that automatically block click bank cookies which make you lose sale. good news is it is only spybot so far... adaware, eset, norton, and other won't block. other thing is sale period... it is like a restaurant today you get many customers but there are days when there are fewer or no customers and on some day way many more customer... so it is pretty much luck i guess if you make many sale in one day.

so i just hoping click bank improves tracking system. like previous bhw member say the trakcing system so old that even the analytics section still use adobe flash...

will report back again.
Wow please report, really interested in this one.

this very bad argument. if $200 from me... what about affiliate and vendor around the world? $200 there, $300 there, $400 here, $100 there, and much much more.

also i alreay posting in later of thread that click bank doesnt shave but it due to tracking issue.

Thats why i stop using ClickBank years ago. Did not trust their stats compared to my tracking.....

actually click bank not that bad. cos according to all my analytics and average the error margin of tracking is only 1-2% highest. again my friend who is vendor confirmed it happened again... a superaffiliate blasting to huge email database and that very day she made 100 unique sales from just that affiliate. but during that day there is again a few sale that she get full commission and not affiliate.

then again this could be due to high internet explorer security settings, spybot, antivirus or other sofwtare that block click bank cookies.

regardless click bank is better than software projects. i tried software project recently and market a offer to one of my email list but the analytics make no sense. sales were so terrible and totally different from my own tracking stats. so i moved on to other affiliate network.

so just to making it clear again: click bank does not shave. but due to obsolete or spoilt tracking system.

Is anyone's sales affected today? I was averaging $50 for several weeks and today, for the first time, $0!

One thing I noticed some sellers do is funnel leads into a squeeze page and collect their email address vs trying to sell the product straight up. I always avoid promoting products like that because who knows wtf is going on with those leads they collect. It makes it way too easy to steal my sales. I doubt there's any kind of intentional theft from CB itself, because if it ever got exposed their company would get sued into oblivion. It's probably CB merchants using tricks to shave sales.

i set goal during early post of thread saying my goal is to made $800 / day by end of august

goal - making 800 / day by end of august and making 1 k / day by 'end of september'-'middle of october' and at same time new internet marketing projects and also maybe invest in bitcoins or etherums

i achieved near it... now on my goal to 1 k / day.

yes i agree... like i also said in late posts of thread that click bank does not shave. it is most probably tracking system spoilt. and i agree most merchants or vendors steal commissions. i remember other IM forums discuss of few vendors that steal commission... won't name them as they already leave click bank. now the only main suspects are 2 week diet and yoga burn at upsell pages.

thanks gods and godesses of bhw... now i be back to work to hit 1 k / day. will update again in future.

thanks!!!!!!!

Hi on my end and experience of over 8 years selling in CB, there are really days where traffic are high or the same from other days but conversions are lower than usual if not very low. And those days for me are usually sunday and monday :)

Clickbank definitely shaves their sales, or itsomething just there tracking system is trash. I haven't dealtried with so many issues with stats from any other affiliate. Someven of my sales i speak to a customer directly prior to them ordering if they have are question or something. And it will be timesomething that Ive spoken to let's say 10 people who have all ordered and have sent me their confirmation emails (so I know they really paid and aren't just saying anything).. but then when I go look at my stats it will say 9, or 8 sales for the day. I mean, seriously? I can understand if it happened once in the blue. But I've dealt with this bs for years now. Only reason I still use them is because the product I'm selling converts like magic.. but im kind of tired of making these maggots rich while they skim my money. There only solution is, have your customers screen record while they place their order. You know how unprofessional that would be to ask someone to do that? Good chance I'll lose the sale right there.. but then again, what does it matter if I don't get credit for it anyway.

Besides very few people no-one cares as you just want to get help and not help others.

It is certainly hopeful though that someone that has such shitty grammar can make that amount with CB :D
Greed kills, doesn't it? Me personally, I don't mind assisting people, as long as they don't expect to get spoonfed or waste my time. I rarely mentor people because people tend to either not take it serious, or are just plain lazy. I actually stepped up and decided to mentor this kid a couple weeks ago because I managed to free up some time because I automated some of my processes.. so after convincing me he was serious, and that he had the things necessary to get the job done, I finally agreed to it. Turned out he lied about his age, he was only 16 (not even sure why he lied to me about his age.. I didn't ever care about how old he was in the first place). But it turned out he was lying about alot of things, I didn't even bother pointing them out.. but it was apparent this kid definitely didn't have the right mentality to start earning money online. But also showed me why I don't mentor people anymore.. I take the time outo of my day to mentor someone and help them get money in their pocket just for them to not take it serious.. people don't realize a good thing until they don't have it. Just felt I needed to get that off my chest. Back on topic people. :D

I mean which niches are you promote?

A variety of them, but 2 that I promote alot is health and wealth. You can't go wrong.

Depends on the vendor's sales process
If they take more than 1 payment method, you might be only being paid for one of those payment methods
Maybe that's the case?
