So - setting aside the fact you're making a lot of assumptions about everyone else's belief - here's a quick reminder that political or religious discussions are not allowed in the lounge. Feel free to have your mind blown in a lot of various ways but if we can keep people's own personal deity of choice out of the conversation, that'd be good m'kay?

Anyone who thinks that everything which has happened till today is "just an accident" or without any meaning, is simply too arrogant to accept that there are certain things or forces that they cant understand. They are too egotistic to accept the fact that someone is more powerful than their "stats and figures".

Let's not focus on what I can or can't understand - I'm sure your explanations are way beyond my mental capabilities. Why don't you answer what I asked? Isn't defending a certain belief by itself egoistic since you're trying to preserve your own view of reality? Or is egoism a trait you only get to prescribe to those who are not on your side of the argument? Both yours and my responses are by definition egoistic, since we're defending what we believe to be true - assuming we're tying our identities to these beliefs, which is what most people do. Therefore, my belief is considered a direct thread to you, and vice versa.

Do you think it's a coincidence that almost no one changed anyone's opinion on topics such as politics and religion by using things such as https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logic? It's because you're so caught up trying to defend your own beliefs and who you think you are (pretty much the definition of ego) that you will disregard anything that doesn't support those beliefs. This is a flaw in the way humans think, also known as the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confirmation_bias.

i can say exactly same to you and it would be true too..so why keep moving in circles..

my point was simply that life, as we know it, is neither meaningless nor an accident. This is starting point of my argument and my argument is based on popular belief i.e. someone created all of it.

again, as our fruit lover mod has said, no religion talk, so i cant go in detail here or even use that term. But that would be the most logical conclusion.

What's more impressive than the concept of there being eight billion of us floating around is that each and every person has their own completely separate lives, disconnected from our own.

One example that can be found on here is @irfanrufi123 's thread that was recently bumped about life in Pakistan. I've spent no time in the Middle East, so everything about that was new and fascinating. It's so interesting to see how other cultures adapt, react, and interact.

Another example is that some people think that arguing about politics and religion based topics on an Internet marketing forum full of people who likely give zero shits is going to benefit their lives in any way. Other people are well aware that it won't.

The idea of "people" is incredible. The idea that people can have opinions other than your own and still be correct is just as impressive. I think that brings this thread full circle...
