Binance Warning

Next level stuff lol. But I can't seem to find that website through the ad?

But anyway`s can they hack you`r account if you have 2FA set up as google authenticator ?
That code is generated separately, and woun`t be so easy as an SMS method, when they can clone you`r phone number.

This is a comment from the Reddit thread about this. Will actually help a lot of people.

FYI there is a way to shield yourself somewhat from these attacks.

Chrome: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/punycode-alert/djghjigfghekidjibckjmhbhhjeomlda

Firefox: Go to about:config and search for punycode, set network.IDN_show_punycode to true

You can use for example this link to check if you are protected: http://www.umeå.se/

On Firefox the address bar will display the punycode, and on Chrome with the plugin it will show an alert on the bottom right corner.

But each time it`s a new code.
Only thing they can do is crack a pattern how they are generated, but they need atleast two or more codes to do tha then to generate valid code.

Yes, I was kidding with that meme. Google Authenticator actually uses time based codes and is pretty secure. Much better than SMS based 2FA.

I would actually call that number and tell that guy to go fuck himself. But I doubt it's his real number. Also how is that possible to get such a domain with those dots and all???

The URL looks normal under google. But when you click the link and load in your browser, it's actually the fake site.

I loaded it in the Brave browser (from BAT project) and it produced following alert. Props to the BAT project.

8sU3xxV

8sU3xxV

They couldn't even spell "official" properly. LOL

It's puny code ... same code used for emoji domains. Simple and legal to register.

I just heard about this phishing scam today in a Facebook cryptocurrency group. No prob for me now, I haven't signed up with Binance yet.

Bookmark your exchanges. I saw couple of them with those latin letters. This fake binance domain now redirect to poloniex lol

Latin letters? ?
What the fuck are you smoking and how much is an ounce?
It's puny code, I even uploaded a pic.

.

I use 2fa plus I keep nothing on the exchange, all goes to my personal wallets. You gotta be smarter in this game

Please be careful, this is very important. They can surpass even 2FA.

There was a thread on another forum from a guy who was a victim of this site. He had 2FA activated and they hacked his account anyway.

He came to this site over google search, typed the password, then his 2FA, and they managed to log into his real account in that 30 seconds and use the same 2FA code for withdrawal.

Be careful out there, always bookmark the site or type the address.
