Quick Review for you guys:
I ordered
$35 / 500 upvotes on a Reddit thread I posted for a video game I made.
My first thread got deleted from the subreddit where I posted it within 30 minutes. (Seller had sent 15 upvotes by that time)
The seller is actually the one that let me know my thread had been deleted and allowed me to setup a new Reddit thread on a different subreddit. (Bonus points right there, he could have ignored that and just took my money)
I submitted a new thread and he sent the remaining ~485 upvotes to that thread.
Here's what I received for my $35:
- I got about 800 upvotes (some from actually users liking my content)
- My thread made it to the top of /r/gaming and sat there for about 3 hours
- My GIF that I shared (a gif of my gameplay) was seen 32,004 times to be exact
- My thread received ~80 comments
- 637 people signed up and registered an account on my video game (That's 637 email addresses I can now market to)
- Got the attention of 2 angel investors who want to potentially invest in my game so I can make a blockbuster. (#winning)
The entire goal of the reddit thread was to draw attention to my Kickstarter to raise money to make the full game.
I didn't get much attention to the Kickstarter itself but I did get the attention of those 2 investors, so we'll see how that plays out.
The 637 registered users is worth thousands though if you know what you are doing.
Will definitely use again.
P.S. If you are going to use this service, make sure you are posting something logical to Reddit that people will enjoy. Trying to direct link to a shopify store isn't going to make you shit. You gotta be creative.
