I mean there is no fixed our job for people in IM. Everyday I plan to sleep early and then wake up late. But since I do not have a compulsion to follow fixed hours, I end up breaking this promise everyday. How to get more disciplined ? Also, I would like to know some practical ways to reduce sleep hours.

I don't know if its smart to need to reduce sleep hours
Melatonin helps me Fall into deep sleep faster, though, so I'm wasting less time just sitting on my pillow.

There should be structure to your day. If you can't plan what you are going to do or force yourself to wake up then it's crazy.

it does not matter when you wake up (5a,, 10am even 3pm), just make sure you have 16-18 hours per day alottted for what you want to do and achieve.

I have a whiteboard with monthly, weekly and daily goals. I focus on what my aim is for the month, split it into 4 parts, 1 week per part and then at the end of each day I work out what I will be doing on the next day.

I have an old alarm clock and wake up at 6am each day. I give myself an hour to wash and eat, then I go to the office.

Work until 12, take an hour to walk/eat/do day to day stuff.

Work until 7/8pm when I have finished my daily tasks, work out what to do the next day and the rest of the evening is mine.

If you are working for yourself and complaining about a lack of structure then you need to build one!!!!!!!

Don't ask about discipline.:D
My sleeping time is minimum 10 hr

when money starts rolling in, your sleep will be auto reduced. So, start working on your money now.

nap, awake, nap, awake

And the problem is?
I think it is affecting my health. Also, in future I will have responsibilities that will require me to be awake in the morning. So, it is better to start the preparation now.

i go sleep get up when i want to then if there a project in hand do it untill i fill irratateed then rest sometimes go back or watch a movie.

you should never promise a deadline if your uncapable of keeping to your word.

business is word by mouth and promissing is destroying your reputation.

as boaring as it sounds you need to get into a routine ...

What works for me is to tire myself out physically everyday.

Not only does keeps me fit, but it also ensures that I will fall asleep on time every night.

Try a jog or a run for 30-60mins (depending on your fitness level). I usually take a jog at the park near me.

My daily routine which I have got into is wake up at 5:30 am and work until 1pm, eat, then have a siesta until 4pm, get up and work until 8pm. Weekends still wake up early as my body clock is used to it but work until around 12pm and the rest of the day off!

Set an alarm...
I set it and then put it off next morning.

Do you work from home or separate office ?

I agree with this guy, this works for me always.
Unfortunately, never happened for me in abundance.

That's true but health is important too and your personal life also. You can be on without routine 1 week or 2 but not life long.
You have to take rest otherwise doc advise you to take rest is better that you can take care yourself. Sometimes i have lot of work to do till 12 am midnight if work is still not completed. My personal life is there too so i am taking rest after 12 am and wake up early in the morning.
