BHW trade volume

I think its based on the itrader thingy, I can't remember the last time I got one but my volumes have been ever growing

Ah so the graph is not really reflective of reality?

Nope. The iTrader has slowly stopped being used as often here, and that is what the graph shows.

So looking at https://www.blackhatworld.com/trade/stats trade volume seems to be on a very strong downtrend over the past say 5 years. Thoughts?

Simple, people don't bother with feedback, most sellers don't give it to buyers and the sellers with a lot of feedback ask directly for it or trade it for services.

It is another stat that should be dropped from BHW because it doesn't tell the full story.

I have bought numerous services and left feedback but only a few sellers bother doing it, in fact most people only use it to leave negative feedback or troll other users.

That sucks in a way. It's kind-of not bothering with street names/numbers. Yes, everyone who lives there knows where they live, but it's hell for visitors / new people in general.

Don't be fooled by anybodies stats, feedback, postcount, years of membership etc, it is all irrelevant in the sense you need to carry out your own due diligence when dealing with ANYBODY on BHW

Yes but it's easier said than done, this "your own DD" thing. How do you carry it on without any tools? Rain shamans?

This right here. We have had moderators become heavy-hitting scammers (something that was way more common before the wonderful current era of our lord and savior @Diamond Damien and trusty omnipresent eye @Apricot). At the same time, we have had brand new members provide extreme value.

We are all the same.

This all the same business is deeply repugnant to the Republican ideology ; but how do you practically do it? So don't be fooled by post count, age, whatever. Fine. What are you fooled by?

Members who joined yesterday and have made 98 posts is usually a big red flag.
Tell you what, in rthe past 24 hours I bought ~$1`000 worth of services here. Can be as big a flag as you want, but it happens to be green not red.
