Little traffic trick

Go to Rapidshare and upload any files you want. In theory you can use Megaupload as well but I have not tried it personally.

Then grab the download url and paste it into the footer of your website in plane text. If your website is indexed and gets spidered frequently all you need to do is wait.

What happens is that all those Rapidshare search engines pick up on the new link and index you. Now every time somebody searches for a keyword that happens to be on your page, they will be redirected to you.

For example I had a page selling Bookmarking Demon. After adding the Rapidshare link to the footer I started receiving visitors from Rapidshare search engines looking to download Bookmarking Demon. Some keywords will bring you more traffic than others.

I think their scripts scrap Google for pages containing Rapidshare links and then all the other smaller websites scrap Rapidshare search engines using their API keys etc.

Nice trick, gonna try it out later. If you do it right you can redirect the incoming traffic to a specific page and monetize them there. The wheels are already grinding away

can't you just use rapidshare links that already exist and paste them into your footer or does it work best when they are unique

LOL, I've been uploading the websites to rapidshare forever. You capture the entire website of the product, zip it up, upload it and then do as you said above.

You even get sales of the product itself if you replace the website's links with your own affiliate code, for extra bonus.

Example of what? Posting a Rapidshare link or waiting?

Most searched terms will also mean more competition. Just go for popular software, TV episodes and movies. They are all very popular but you will find yourself amongst thousands of other sites.

that's a nice trick but i guess Google might blacklist the site if we do soo...
