Hey guys,
One of my sites is getting around 10-11k visitors/day with some 30k pageviews/day, I've hosted this site on shared hosting and this has caused a serious problem. On peak hours, when the traffic is maximum, the website becomes ridiculously SLOW and frequently spits out '503 Service Temporarily Unavailable Error'
My site is a wordpress blog with tweaked twenty eleven theme and some plugins
I inquired my hosting provider, they told me that they allocate '3 php worker processes/account' so may be during peak hours the site extinguishes all the 3 worker processes causing it to give 503 error and making it slow, following this I removed some of the unnecessary plugins, images but to no use.
I've installed wp super cache plugin but even caching is not solving my problem. Also, I've installed G Analytics on my site and since G knows that my site takes hell lot of time to load with frequent 503 error, may be due to this my site is dancing between #2 - #5 for a targeted keyword
Guys, is there anything I can do to handle the traffic OR do I need to upgrade to VPS (keeping in mind that I'm expecting 50k visitors/day before the end of july)
If VPS is the only solution then please suggest me some good Linux VPS, I'll be grateful to you
